We know our school principals wear many hats. We know that no matter which hat they must wear at any given point of the day, they are determined to help every student and teacher succeed. Earth Day Dedication & Celebration JBE special guests and school family, gathered to celebrate the Earth and to honor two women who dedicated their lives to helping children. They will always be in the hearts of our JBE family. Jane Mills, a dedicated JBE volunteer, enriched the lives of so many past and present students through her involvement with the Rotary Club, which brought the Rotokids program to JBE and continues to gift all third-grade students with dictionaries. She and the Garden Club were instrumental in sharing their love of nature with the children. Beautiful planters will be in the front of JBE to serve as a reminder of her many gifts to our school. Donna Boudreau, former employee and dedicated volunteer, is one who many remember during the holiday season as "Mrs. Clause," always bringing a smile to children and adults alike. A memorial bench will serve as a reminder of her many gifts to JBE. Both are cherished and like the Earth, their gifts are irreplaceable and will carry on for years to come. In the same kind of gesture, each student received a packet of seeds to plant on our Earth.

The fifth-grade math team did an amazing job at the first-ever Martin County School District, Math Olympics! After four rounds of competition, they won third place out of the 12 elementary schools in the district. Landon Far, Lucy Huynh, Landon Huynh, Liam Mangan, Mason Monahan, and River Peruski represented our fifth graders with their team coach Mrs. McNealy. Way to go JBE!

First graders in Mrs. Henderson's class had a busy week learning about money, Earth Day, and even earning books from the book vending machine. Thank you Martin County Education Foundation- For the Love of Reading 📚 MCSD Reads! Way to go first graders.

🎉CELEBRATING MATH CHAMPIONS🎉 This past weekend, the Martin County School District Math Team proudly hosted the inaugural Fifth Grade Math Olympics at Dr. David L. Anderson Middle School. Twelve teams of students from across the district went head-to-head, battling for the title of District Champion. Students competed in various rounds involving problem-solving, critical thinking, and speed math. In the end, Palm City Elementary School's team was victorious! Citrus Grove Elementary School's team took home second-place honors and Jensen Beach Elementary School's team placed third. Way to go, MCSD Mathletes! #ALLINMartin👊

🍎LEAVING A LASTING LEGACY🍎 On Tuesday evening, Superintendent Dr. John D. Millay and the Martin County School Board celebrated the career of Jensen Beach Elementary School's Jennifer Weekman. Ms. Weekman has been invested in the Martin County School District community--she has been a teacher with the District for 38 years and is an MCSD alum! Before moving to Jensen Beach Elementary School, she taught at Hobe Sound Elementary School for 14 years. Her greatest memories of being a teacher will be the chances she had to witness students experience “aha!” moments and grow into happy, successful and productive adults. Best wishes in your retirement, Ms. Weekman!
