As part of Celebrate Literacy Week, Students proudly awarded their favorite books with 1st Place ribbons! Celebrating the stories that made us laugh, think, and fall in love with reading.

Celebrate Literacy Week is off and running!
We kicked off the week by choosing our Red Hot Readers and sharing our favorite books on our “Red Hot Reads” wall.
We continued with our White Out with Words writing prompt and enjoyed hot chocolate and cookies in the library.
A special thank‑you to our veterans and the JBHS ROTC for reading to our students and sharing their stories. It was an unforgettable experience for everyone.
We can’t wait to enjoy the rest of the week.

This town hall conversation is designed especially for 5th grade families and will feature Stuart Middle School Principal, Dr. Christopher Jones, and the SMS team. Stuart Middle School is an incredible school with amazing programs, staff, and opportunities, and we’re so grateful to partner with them as our students prepare for this next chapter.
It’s a great opportunity to learn more about the transition to middle school, ask questions, and connect with the team who will soon be supporting your students.

Today we proudly celebrated the 100th Day of School with our amazing kindergarten students! 🎉💯
Reaching 100 is no small milestone. Our kindergarteners have worked all year to build number sense, count, write, and understand numbers all the way to 100. Their growth, perseverance, and excitement for learning have been incredible to watch.
We are so proud of our youngest learners and the hard work they’ve put in every single day. What a joyful way to celebrate learning and how far they’ve come already!

We’re excited to share one of our Education Foundation of Martin County grants in action! 🌟
Thanks to this grant, our paraprofessionals were trained on using hands-on IEP toolkits (Boxes for Success) to better support students and meet individual learning needs. These kits provide practical, engaging tools that help ensure students receive consistent and meaningful support throughout the school day.
We’re grateful to the Education Foundation of Martin County for investing in our staff and students and helping strengthen learning for all!

During Science Lab, our 5th grade students wrapped up their Force and Motion unit with an exciting culminating project! 🚀
Using their understanding of balanced and unbalanced forces, students designed roller coasters that successfully propelled a marble through at least one loop. They also applied their learning about potential and kinetic energy to make their designs work.
Hands-on learning, problem solving, and lots of creativity made this a fun and meaningful science experience!

Janeen shared her journey as an author and illustrator and inspired our students with her passion for conservation and caring for our planet. It was a meaningful experience that encouraged our Eco Action Team to see how creativity and environmental advocacy can work hand in hand.
