The Martin County School District held its oath of office ceremony for Superintendent Michael Maine this afternoon. Superintendent Maineโs family joined school district staff for the occasion, allowing many of the employees in attendance the opportunity to meet and greet while enjoying delicious refreshments provided by our Food & Nutrition Services team.
The Martin County School Board named Mr. Maine the Martin County School Districtโs Superintendent of Schools in April 2023, approving a four-year initial employment contract as part of the measure.

Ms. Frostromโs class celebrated the end of the school year with a pizza party!








Third grade loved taking a field trip to visit fourth grade classrooms. They enjoyed getting their questions answered by the 4th graders! Only a few more days in 3rd grade, they will be missed!

Can you believe summer is just around the corner?! During the Summer Break, the Martin County School District will continue to nourish all students for success!
Our Food & Nutrition Services Department will continue to offer free meals to children aged 18 and under during the summer months with no income restrictions. Breakfasts and lunches will be served starting May 30 at specific locations.

"She has been so kind to Walker during stress and troubles at home," grateful parent Heather Luzier shared. "She was so patient during some of his learning challenges and willing to work with him rather than separate. She took the time that was needed to help him, and it helped him flourish for the remainder of the year."

Third grade had a great time as a Mad Scientist! Thanks to PTA for bringing the Children's Museum to JBE for some exciting hands on experiments!

So proud of these 3 mathletes! Landon, Leo, and Dylan (from perennial math) all competed nationally in 3rd - 5th grade over the last couple of days!



JBE Hoedown was amazing! Thank you PTA for such a fun family event! Performances, food, dunk tank, mechanical bull, face painting, scavenger hunt, and ice cream! So many smiles and happy memories! Thank you MC Sheriff grill team for your support!.

On Tuesday evening, Superintendent Michael Maine and the Martin County School Board celebrated the career of Jensen Beach Elementary School's Heather Lafary.
Ms. Lafary has educated Martin County School District students for 35 incredible years, starting as a teenager at Hobe Sound Elementary School as an Extended Day Counselor! Ms. Lafary is known for her caring nature and positive attitude. She can also remember every child's name and their family member!
Ms. Lafary has most recently been the Computer Lab Assistant at JBE, and Principal Radcliff says her good vibes and kindness will sorely be missed.
Thank you for being so dedicated to MCSD over the years. We hope your retirement is filled with lots of adventure, Ms. Lafary!

Mental health is just as important as physical health. The Martin County School District is proud to celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month and contribute to the efforts that fight stigma, provide support, and enhance our knowledge about mental illness.
Students, employees and families are encouraged to show support by wearing green tomorrow, Tuesday, May 16, in honor of our districtwide Mental Health Awareness Day.

This evening we are celebrating two of our incredible nursing staff members for #NationalNursesWeek!
Let's give a big "thank you" to Jennifer Deacon and Katrina Doyle!
"Jennifer brings energy and warmth to our Jensen Beach Elementary School clininc. She welcomes students and staff with a smile when she visits us. We will miss her greatly next year," JBE Principal Jen Radcliff shared.
"Katrina has immersed herself in student life at Willoughby Learning Center. She is compassionate, empathetic, and respectful to all of her students and peers," the Martin County School District Health Services Team said.
Thank you, Katrina and Jennifer, for being a part of the MCSD nursing team and taking care of our kiddos!
