Parker Elementary! ✈️🚀 Today, our Rockets celebrated National Aviation Day by learning about the exciting world of aviation and the many careers that help our community take flight! 🌟 A HUGE thank you to our special guests for inspiring our students and sharing their time, knowledge, and experiences: 💙 Superintendent Maine 💛 Mr. Stokus, Assistant County Administrator ✈️ Our local airport aviation professionals 🚀 Mr. Devonte from the Boys & Girls Club of Martin County Our students had the opportunity to ask questions, learn about aviation careers, and see how the world of flight connects to the future they are building today. At J.D. Parker, we believe in launching leaders, inspiring innovation, and reaching new heights! 🚀 Thank you to everyone who helped make this special experience possible! Ms. Vasquez 3rd grade gifted class -Building thinking together! 💡 Students collaborate, share ideas, explain their reasoning, and learn from one another through a problem-solving activity.

Students in Mrs. Planker’s class practiced the scientific method by forming a hypothesis about how many drops of plain water versus soapy water would fit on a penny. They followed a procedure, collected, compared, and graphed their results, then used their observations to draw conclusions—putting scientific thinking into action! 🚀

🚀💛 Fueled with kindness, powered by appreciation! 💙💛 What better way to celebrate an AMAZING first week with our Rockets than with a breakfast cart from Admin! 🥐☕🍓 Our J.D. 🚀 Today we officially launched the 2026–2027 school year by welcoming our incredible J.D. Parker Elementary staff back! Principal Norwood and Assistant Principal Grauer enjoyed kicking off the year by connecting with our amazing team and setting the foundation for a year of growth, collaboration, and success. A huge thank you to JDP's PTO for treating our staff to a delicious breakfast from Berry Fresh—it was the perfect way to start the year! As we begin this new journey together, we're excited to live out our mission of Launching Excellence and can't wait to see all that our Rockets will accomplish this year.
