Today's senior in the spotlight is Kyle Christy of Martin County High School!
"Kyle will be attending the University of Central Florida and majoring in mechanical engineering," his proud parents share. "His goal is to work in the aerospace industry. Moving to Florida a week before his freshman year, band became a way for Kyle to find community at MCHS. Whether it was marching band, wind ensemble, jazz band or indoor drumline, we have had so much fun watching him grow and perform."

⚖CONSTITUTIONAL SCHOLARS SHINE⚖
In partnership with the Center for Constitutional Values' Scholarship Fund and the YMCA of The Treasure Coast, the Martin County School District held the final round of its annual Constitutional Academic Competition this week. Students from each District-operated high school debated the U.S. Supreme Court case "Miller v. Alabama" before presiding judges.
The case addressed the constitutionality of enacting life sentences without parole for juveniles convicted of capital crimes.

The Martin County School District hosted a celebration for its graduating Students Supporting Schools (S3) interns yesterday!
The S3 program is an initiative by which the District hires and trains students as part-time employees to serve in various paid and non-paid internships related to technology and graphic design.
Representatives of the Curriculum & Instruction and Educational Technology departments attended yesterday's ceremony to thank the student technicians for their service to the District.

Today's senior in the spotlight is Jordan LoSardo of Martin County High School!
Jordan plans to attend the University of Florida as a double major studying political science and international affairs. Her dream is to one day serve our country as a member of the U.S. Congress.
"I am forever grateful for how much Martin County has shaped me into who I am today," Jordan shares. "I would like to thank my brother and amazing debate coach, Mr. LoSardo, as well as Ms. Sawczak, Ms. Kalwa, Mr. Morin and Mr. Savela for being great teachers and influences in my life. I am so lucky to have great family and friends that have helped me during this journey, and I cannot wait to be a Gator!"

The OPUS 2022 Chorale scored a Superior at the Florida Vocal Association State Music Performance Assessment on April 20, 2022 at the American Heritage School.
✈️TAKING FLIGHT✈️
Touring Martin County's Witham Field to personally experience all things related to aviation is just one of the many benefits offered to students enrolled in Spectrum Academy's Aerospace Technologies program.
The program's goal is to encourage students' interests in science, engineering and mathematics while preparing them for certification as aircraft assemblers. Students learn the fundamental theories of aircraft design and construction while also becoming proficient with the tools and processes used for aircraft assembly.
The Aerospace Technologies program is open to all high school students enrolled in the Martin County School District.

🎓IRSC MAKES PROMISE TO HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS🎓
Indian River State College (IRSC) will offer tuition-free associate degrees to public and charter high school graduates across the Treasure Coast beginning with the #Classof2022!
Sponsored by the IRSC Foundation , the program will be open to students in the four counties served by IRSC- take note graduating seniors from Jensen Beach High School, Martin County High School and South Fork High School!
To be eligible, students must graduate from a Treasure Coast-area high school in 2022. College athletes are not eligible per the Florida Council for Athletic Affairs. There are NO income restrictions.
