Two Martin County High School students represented our community on the world stage at the 2025 Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair in Columbus, Ohio โ the largest international STEM research competition for high school students!
โญ๏ธ Isabella Calhoun was named a State Finalist and attended with all expenses paid. Her project: โThe Role of Hormones in Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.โ
โญ๏ธ Nina Goyal was honored as a Martin County Finalist for her project: โBioenhancers and AgriShield for Pest Management.โ
More than 1,600 students from more than 30 countries shared over 1,300 innovative projects during ISEFโs 75th anniversary. We're proud to see Martin County scholars among them! ๐ก๐๐ฌ

This afternoon, we are shining a spotlight on Martin County High School senior Andrew Olson!
"Drew has worked consistently to maintain a high GPA, all while balancing a part-time job at our family restaurant, playing basketball on the school team all 4 years of high school, & mentoring & volunteering at basketball kids camps. He has done a wonderful job managing it all," proud mom Jocelyn shared.
"Drew plans to attend Indian River State College for his AS degree, then EMT & firefighting school. We are so proud of you Drew! Shout out to Mrs. Warenick at MCHS for your support to Drew this year and for recognizing him for 'Character Counts.' We also loved seeing you at his games!
Thank you also to Mrs. Donna Jacobsen, who was Drewโs 3rd & 5th grade teacher at Citrus Grove Elementary School. I appreciate that you have been a constant supporter of Drew, and still are, even to this day. He has so much respect and admiration for you."

"We are so proud of Ella," mom Karly wrote. "She has worked so hard and it is exciting to see her graduate with amazing accomplishments! She set her sights on Florida State University two years ago and will be heading there in June. Ella worked two jobs, Tigerrets Captain, The Dance Academy of Stuart for 15 years and President of NHS. She will major in Business at FSU and cannot wait for this next chapter. Thank you to all her Teachers , family and friends for the encouragement and support!"

Graduation ceremonies may have wrapped upโฆ but we still have seniors to celebrate!
This evening, we are shining a spotlight on Martin County High School senior Riley Mead!
"Riley attended Citrus Grove Elementary School and Hidden Oaks Middle School before Martin County High School," proud mom Shellee shared. "He had so many amazing teachers along the way: Ms Kirkham, Ms Brown, and Mrs Jacobson to name a few. Thanks to you all! At MCHS he had an outstanding team of teachers and support staff guiding him along the way too. A special shout out to Ms. Edwards, Mr. Wilson, Ms. Luna, and Mr. Francke for always believing in him!"
"In high school he completed the Culinary Program earning 2 industry certifications and was a member of National Honor Society," Shellee continued. "His greatest achievement though was earning Boy Scoutsโ highest rank of Eagle Scout in 2023, a rank which only 4% of those who join scouting ever reach. For college Riley intends on starting at Indian River State College then transferring to the University of Central Florida and then onto Optometry school. Riley we are so proud of you and are excited to see what the future holds for you!"
