Deputy Superintendent

Dr. Tracey Miller, a graduate of Martin County High School, is a lifelong educator having worked in the Martin County School District since 1992. She has served the community as a classroom teacher, assistant principal, principal, Director of Elementary Programs and School Improvement, and Assistant Superintendent of Academics before being appointed to the role of Deputy Superintendent in July 2023.

Dr. Miller earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of Florida, Master's and Specialist degrees from Florida Atlantic University and became a Doctor of Educator in 2009 upon the completion of the doctoral program at Florida Atlantic University. She is passionate about ensuring all students have access to learning environments that support the Martin County School District's rigorous curriculum.

She serves on various community boards and committees: CareerSource Board of Directors, LEADERship Martin County, Martin Youth LEADERship and Early Learning Coalition of Indian River, Martin and Okeechobee Counties.

Department Functions

Assist and update the Superintendent on developing and ongoing situations, programs, changes and practices

Oversee and collaborate with Educational Technology, Facilities, Food and Nutrition Services, Maintenance and Transportation Departments

Coordinate and maintain the District's Strategic Plan

Ensure FTE state reporting requirements are completed

Determine and monitor allocations districtwide and seats available for School Choice and Controlled Open Enrollment

Support and provide direction for high school athletic directors

Monitor field trip and out-of-state leave requests

Facilitate the Calendar Committee annually and the Boundary Advisory Committee

Support community projects and stakeholders: LEADERship Education Day, HOMS ballfields, SPAM to name a few

Implement the Martin Standard
