As a precaution, the Martin County School District will not provide squishy toys as classroom incentives, PBIS rewards or sensory items.

While our Lions were enjoying summer break, our incredible custodial team was busy campus-wide cleaning, preparing, and getting Murray Middle ready for the return of our students today!
We are incredibly grateful for all of the hard work that happens behind the scenes to make sure the Den is ready to welcome our Lions back. Thank you to our amazing custodial team for everything you do! 🧹✨🦁
🎒 Lions Are Starting the Year Ready to Go! 🦁
The Education Foundation of Martin County teamed up with Costco to provide nearly 400 backpacks for students at Murray Middle School this year!
Every sixth-grade Lion who attended orientation this past Friday left with a new backpack provided by Costco and packed with an assortment of school supplies by members of our office staff. It was a great way to welcome our newest Lions to the Den and help them start middle school prepared for the year ahead.
And the giving doesn’t stop there! 🎒 Over the next week, additional backpacks will be distributed to other new and returning Lions, helping even more Murray students begin the 2026–2027 school year ready for success.
We are extremely grateful to the Education Foundation of Martin County and Costco for their generosity and continued support of our students. Partnerships like these make a meaningful difference for our Lions and our school community.

🦁 A Roaring Good Start to Professional Learning! 🦁
On Wednesday morning, our Lion staff started their professional learning day with a delicious breakfast buffet, generously provided by School Board Member Ms. Pritchett and Sammy J’s!
Our Lions pounced at the opportunity to enjoy an incredible spread featuring eggs, potatoes, French toast, pancakes, sausage, bacon, and more before beginning a full day of learning and collaboration.
We are incredibly grateful to Ms. Pritchett and Sammy J’s for their generosity and for taking the time to support and celebrate our staff. It was a wonderful way to start the day and a great reminder of how fortunate we are to have such supportive community partners.

📚🦁 Martin County School District Back-to-School Community Celebration
This past Saturday, our Murray Middle School National Junior Honor Society proudly represented the Lions at the Martin County School District's Back-to-School Community Celebration!
Throughout the day, our NJHS students welcomed prospective families, answered questions about life at Murray Middle, and shared what makes our school community so special. They also handed out Lion backpacks, foam paws, and other fun giveaways while helping families get excited for the new school year.
We are incredibly proud of these student leaders for serving as outstanding ambassadors for Murray Middle. Their enthusiasm, kindness, and commitment to service truly reflected what it means to be a Lion.🦁
