Our students teamed up to launch their own mini bridge companies—designing, budgeting, and building bridges using only toothpicks and glue. Each team faced real-world constraints and had to manage resources, balance aesthetics with strength, and pass a rigorous safety test. 🦺 💙🐾From blueprint to strength test, this hands-on challenge put collaboration, creativity, and engineering skills to the test—and the results were impressive! #ignitePAWSibilities #STEMatPCE

🚣‍♂️💥 Cardboard Boat Races at Sailfish Splash! 💥🚣‍♀️ Our cardboard boat building project has been taking shape right here at school—designed, built, and engineered by our creative students! This Saturday at 9:00am, select 3rd–5th grade students who registered in advance will be putting their engineering skills to the test on the water! 🎉 Featuring special appearances (and some friendly competition) from: Principal Rabener, Assistant Principal Atkinson, and Master Deputy Dave Wilson. They’re ready to bring the heat! 🔥 Are you ready to cheer them on?

Our students had a special visit from two amazing FWC Officers who brought along some wild guests—a baby alligator and an owl! 🐊🦉 The kids were thrilled to learn about these incredible animals, Florida wildlife laws, and how we can help protect them. 🐶Ella and Stella make reading even more fun!🐶 As part of our PAWS to Read Program, these gentle, trained dogs visited every class to help students build reading confidence in the most heartwarming way: by listening to them read aloud. 💬❤️ Research shows that reading to a non-judgmental listener like a therapy dog can ease anxiety and make reading more fun — and the smiles, cuddles, and proud readers we saw all week prove it! 📖🐾 Thank you for inspiring our readers and making a tail-wagging difference in literacy! 🐕‍🦺💙💛 #PAWStoRead #IgniteTogetherMCSD

We're incredibly proud to share that Ms. Uzar, Food & Nutrition Services Manager at PCE, was named School Lunch Hero by the Florida Division of Food, Nutrition and Wellness, Florida Milk, and No Kid Hungry! 👏 ONE of just FIVE recognized statewide, she was surprised during lunch with a red carpet celebration, goodies, and a $2,000 check! 🏈 Our 3rd & 4th Grade Flag Football Club brings energy and focus each week as players build skills, practice teamwork, and demonstrate sportsmanship. We’re proud of their effort, growth, and commitment on and off the field! Way to go, Wildcats! 🙌

🐣 Our 2nd graders are exploring 4-H Embryology during Related Arts, learning all about the life cycle and the science of hatching chicks! Thanks to the support of UF IFAS Extension, our entire student body will get to experience the excitement of the incubation process firsthand. Science is coming to life at our school!
