Our 5th graders are at it, learning all about preventing erosion in our community! After reviewing weathering and erosion standards and modeling the process in their own personal “sandboxes,” students jumped into action.
Through real-world application, they took on shared roles to design, engineer, construct, and even balance funding to create the best possible erosion-prevention solutions. 🌎🛠️💧
Winter Break has arrived, and we’re wishing our students, employees, and families a restful, joy-filled break. May the days ahead bring time to slow down, recharge, and soak in the magic of the season—whether that means cozy moments, special traditions, or simply time together.
We can’t wait to welcome students and staff back in the new year as we continue a school year rooted in excellence. Classes resume January 5.

🐧The MCSD IXL Holiday Hustle is officially back for Year 2, and the question remains… Who will take home this year’s trophy?! 🐧
From December 20th - January 4th schools will compete to see who can bring the highest average number of ELA and/or Math skills to proficiency per student using IXL. Students may practice skills at their current grade level, as well as one year below or one year above their enrolled grade level, giving everyone multiple pathways to contribute to their school’s success.
