Fraction Pizza Parties!! 🍕Third Grade classes celebrated the end of their fraction unit by creating their own equivalent fraction pizzas!

On Monday, April 8, a partial solar eclipse will occur when the moon passes directly between Earth and the sun, momentarily casting a shadow and blocking the sun's light.
Martin County will not experience a "totality" like other parts of the country and can expect to see approximately 51% coverage of the sun.

Tomorrow is Water Fest! PCE is looking for student & parent volunteers to welcome visitors to our PCE Booth at Water Fest on Saturday, March 23rd from 12:00-1:00 or 1:00-2:00. Please use the link to sign up! https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090B48A4AD2AA0FD0-48079784-city
Volunteers will teach about the water cycle and help assist visitors with making an edible water cycle bracelet out of Fruit Loops. Volunteers will be encouraged to wear PCE shirts and positively promote our school and commitment to being Green! This is an excellent opportunity to volunteer with your student and connect with the community! Note: Level 1/Level 2 volunteer status is not required for this community event.

Wildcat Café celebrated National School Breakfast Week 2024 from March 4-8th. The theme was "Surfs Up with School Breakfast" and 551 breakfasts were served with the help of our awesome PCE Volunteers and staff. Students were able to enjoy school breakfast loaded with whole grains, lean proteins , fresh fruits, 100% juice, and milk.
The celebration may be over, but students can eat a healthy school breakfast and ride the wave to a heathy start each day !

National School Breakfast Week brought a tidal wave of excitement to start the day with a healthy breakfast!
Our Food and Nutrition Services team created a splash in their cafeterias with fun decorations while serving up healthy breakfast options so our students in grades PreK-12 could ride the wave of success throughout the school day.
Students who participated in #NSBW24 had the chance to win some totally awesome prizes, like underwater cameras! Over at Indiantown Middle School, FNS Manager Elisha Ison crocheted pop tarts for giveaways!

🍎CHOOSING THE BEST🍎
During an Emergency Meeting held this evening, the Martin County School Board voted to add Martin County High School and Jensen Beach High School to the list of approved Controlled Open Enrollment schools for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year.
This means in AND out-of-county residents can apply to ANY MCSD-operated school during the application period that will open tomorrow, March 1 – March 31.
For high school students, applications for signature programs are no longer required as part of the Choice process, but must be completed if your child would like to be considered for entrance into a signature program.
ℹ️Students accepted into a Controlled Open Enrollment choice option must have their own mode of transportation to and from school. Students are not required to renew their applications annually and will be permitted to attend their chosen school through the highest grade level offered on the campus.
