A Martin County native and district alumna, Ms. Norman's journey in education began right here at Pinewood Elementary. Since then, she has served students and families as both a teacher and school leader, most recently as Principal of Indiantown Middle School.
Her experience working with students across grade levels brings a valuable perspective to her new role at Pinewood! Learn more about Ms. Norman: https://www.martinschools.org/o/pes/article/3004128

The Martin County School District is proud to celebrate six schools that have been recognized as Everglades Champion Schools by the Everglades Foundation! 👏
These schools went above and beyond to bring Everglades literacy to life through hands-on learning, interdisciplinary projects, field experiences, and conservation-focused initiatives. Congrats to:
🥇 Hobe Sound Elementary School
🥇 Jensen Beach Elementary School
🥇 Palm City Elementary School
🥈 The Pinewood Elementary School
🥈 SeaWind Elementary School
🥉 Bessey Creek Elementary School
Living on Florida’s Treasure Coast, our students have a natural connection to the resources that shape our region. Through the work of teachers, administrators, and students, these schools are strengthening that connection through meaningful, hands-on learning that stays with students long after the lesson ends.

Big news, Panthers!
Pinewood Elementary has been named a Silver Level K-5 Everglades Champion School!
A huge shout-out to Mrs. Odza for leading the charge toward this amazing achievement. With support from our RA team and 4th grade teachers, students participated in engaging field trips, on-campus presentations, read-alouds, and creative art projects. Through these hands-on experiences, they learned why the Everglades are important and how they can help protect this incredible ecosystem for future generations.
We're proud to be growing the next generation of conservation stewards right here at Pinewood!

A huge shoutout to Michael H., our top MCSD Reads rising 1st grader, and Maverick A., our top MCSD Reads rising 4th grader!
Way to go, Panthers! Keep reading, keep taking those AR quizzes, and keep those points rolling in through August 9th.
We can't wait to see who climbs the leaderboard next!
