Last week, our school showcased an amazing display of art and a Broadway worthy performance by our Sing-Ray chorus! The talent of both Laura Wiswell, Joanna Rubiera, and the students this evening was so heartwarming and inspirational! Thank you to the staff members who volunteered to help set up and work behind the stage. Our custodial crew also made things happen behind the scenes. Bravo!

Port Salerno Elementary School would like to send a huge congratulations to our Teacher of the Year, Amy Jackson, for all her amazing work inside and outside the classroom! Another big shout out goes to all of the PSE staff that helped make the Teacher of the Year calibration a huge success!

❄️ WINTER AROUND THE WORLD ❄️
Port Salerno Elementary School’s Sing-Ray Chorus performed its “Winter Around the World” holiday concert this evening. The event was a celebration of holiday classics that allowed students to showcase the many different cultural celebrations that make us unique.
School Board Chair Christia Li Roberts (District 1) and School Board Vice Chair Tony Anderson (District 4) joined many delighted parents and community members for this joyous evening of student performances. Kudos to Music Director Joanna Rubiera for organizing and leading the fun!

As part of the Martin County School District’s commitment to providing exemplary service to our students and their families, technical support for students’ District-issued devices has been transitioned from the District Office to each school campus.
Families in need of hardware or software support for District-issued devices should contact their child’s school for assistance. Educational Technology staff assigned to each campus will perform necessary repairs or issue replacements of devices/chargers.

🍎INVESTING IN LITERACY🍎
Earlier this year, the Martin County School Board adopted new K-12 instructional materials for ELA that are fully aligned to the Florida Department of Education's new B.E.S.T. standards. The complete curriculum adoption was funded in part with proceeds generated by the half-mill property tax referendum that was approved by Martin County voters in 2018.
WPTV's Stephanie Susskind recently visited Port Salerno Elementary School to take a look at how these new instructional materials are being launched throughout the District. Tune in tonight at 6 to learn more!
