🌿 How do you keep students engaged in a fully online curriculum like Edgenuity? You take it outside! ☀️ Mr. Sweazey brought science to life today as his classes explored plants, growth, and photosynthesis in real time. 🌱 Students really got to the root of learning, leafing their screens behind and soaking up knowledge like sunshine! 🌸

💖 Together, We Wear Pink 💖
Today at Spectrum Academy, we came together to show our love and support for those whose lives have been touched by breast cancer. Every pink shirt, every smile, every shared story reminds us that no one fights alone. We honor the survivors, remember those we’ve lost, and stand beside the fighters with hope in our hearts. Together, we are stronger. 💪🎀

📣 Spectrum Academy Sunday Update
🗓 Friday Schedule
Just a quick reminder that while the Martin County School District has an early release day this Friday, Spectrum Academy will follow a regular schedule. We’ll finish the day with an Activity Day, filled with fun and engaging activities for students.
📚 Attendance
Attendance is essential for student success!
Please ensure your student is attending school each day and logging in to Edgenuity as required. Only a few students have permission to work online. If your student mentions doing so, please double-check that they have official approval from administration.
📵 Cell Phone Policy
A friendly reminder that cell phones must be turned off and kept out of sight during the school day. If a phone is seen or used, it will be confiscated and returned to a parent or guardian. Students who refuse to turn in their phones will be addressed according to the Martin County School District Code of Conduct.
💙 Thank You
Thank you for your continued support in helping us create a focused, positive, and engaging learning environment for all students!
Learning is Life! 🌟 At Spectrum Academy, we believe that learning happens everywhere, not just in the classroom. Today, Mr. Talbott’s class took their lesson to the basketball court, combining math skills with teamwork as they explored measurements and peer collaboration. 🏀📏📐📝
Way to go, Mr. Talbott and Ms. Ana, for inspiring and encouraging real-world learning and lifelong skills in our students in today's lesson!!👏💪🙌 #HandsOnLearning #Teamwork #LifeSkills #Engagement #EngagementActivities #RootedInResilience #UnstoppableTogether

🦅Empower Hour for our Eagles today!🦅
We were thrilled to welcome Vic Miller from Project LIFT today to speak with our teens about the amazing opportunities their program offers. Project LIFT helps students learn valuable trades, improve their mental health, and prepare for their future — some even leave with jobs! 💪✨ Many of our students have attended or currently attend Project LIFT, and we’re so proud of this ongoing partnership that continues to empower our youth and open doors for their success. 💙 #EmpowerHour #ProjectLIFT #EaglePride #FutureReady #RootedInReliance #UnstoppableTogether #StrongerTogether #CommunityInAction

STRONG ATTENDANCE = STRONG LEARNING 💪🍎
When students are in class every day, they gain the knowledge, skills and confidence to succeed.
Attendance always matters, but October 6-10 is especially important. That's the week the state takes its enrollment snapshot to decide school funding for the year.
✅ Students in class = accurate snapshot = the right funding to support stronger schools in our A-rated District and better opportunities for our kids.
Let's work together to make sure our students are here next week—it makes a difference for everyone.
