⚠️ PARENT SAFETY ALERT: SQUISHY TOYS ⚠️

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is warning families about fake and counterfeit squishy toys that may pose safety risks to children.

As a precaution, the Martin County School District will not provide squishy toys as classroom incentives, PBIS rewards or sensory items.

Spectrum Academy has some of the very best staff around! 🦅🤍 We are grateful to have people who see our students’ potential, even when they don’t quite see it in themselves yet. Our teachers believe in them, encourage them, and never stop showing up for them. That's the Eagle way. ✨

Two weeks in… and our Eagles have already earned their just desserts! 🦅🍨😎 We asked our students to help us keep things fresh by bringing in their completed Yellow Card Packets or updating contact information in the FOCUS Parent Portal - and they delivered! 📋✅ So naturally, we celebrated with the only reasonable reward: Culver’s ice cream! 🍦🎉 A HUGE thank you to our friends at Culver’s for always helping us scoop up a reason to celebrate our Eagles! We’re so grateful for a community partner who always comes through with a little extra sweetness. 💙 Our Eagles are off to a great start this school year. They are ready for more and we’re happy to celebrate every win along the way! 🦅🎉

What a powerful way to kick off the school year! ✨ Our Eagle team had an incredible day learning with Nancy Nielsen from the National Dropout Prevention Center. We were reminded that there's always more to learn and understand about one another - even when we think we know someone well. We also reflected on how our words, actions, and expectations shape the narrative for our students. By raising rigor, we create more opportunities for students to discover their talents, recognize their worth, and reach their full potential. A few of our veteran teachers were honored for their work with NDPC over the years. We're energized, inspired, and ready for more! 💙📚

Mrs. Norman brings extensive expertise in instructional leadership, a strong commitment to our community, and a passion for building meaningful relationships that support student success. From the moment she stepped onto campus, she hit the ground running, embracing our mission and culture with enthusiasm and purpose. She is already proving to embody what it means to be an Eagle.

Martin County means even more this year. Spectrum Academy was proud to represent at the MCSD’s back to school community celebration with. It was a day filled with connection, pride, and a powerful reminder of what makes our school so special. The highlight of the day was meeting two Eagles from different generations who walked the halls of our campus. Mr. Albert Brinkley attended school here when it was the Stuart Training School. His knowledge of our campus's rich history is something to be treasured. He shared stories that remind us where we've come from and inspire us to preserve those memories for future generations. We also had the opportunity to connect with Ronlee Manning, who attended Spectrum Academy about five years ago. Mr. Manning shared how the educators at Spectrum made a lasting impact on his life. Because of their support, he graduated from high school and is now an electrical apprentice with a bright future ahead of him. Spectrum Academy is more than a school. It is a place deeply rooted in history, strengthened by its community, and dedicated to helping every student build a successful future. Once an Eagle, always an Eagle! 🦅 We're proud of our past, inspired by our present, and ready for more.
