They take incredible pride in keeping our campus beautiful, from the blooming flowers to the sparkling floors. But they do so much more than care for our facility; they care deeply for every single Eagle who walks through our door. 🦅 Their love and dedication are what help make Spectrum Academy feel like our home away from home. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and our Eagles are joining together to raise awareness, show support, and remind our community of the importance of early detection.
Students and staff are encouraged to wear PINK every Friday throughout October! Whether you wear a pink shirt, ribbon, or accessory, every splash of pink helps spread a message of awareness, education, support, and hope.

🌟STUDENT SERVICE SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY🌟

Friendly reminder that there's about one week left to complete community service hours for the Martin County School District Student Service Challenge!

40 students will receive a $500 scholarship toward their future. To qualify, students must:

✅ Complete 20 hours of community service by October 2, 2026
✅ Submit an essay about civic leadership and responsibility
✅ Be enrolled in a Martin County public or charter school

If your student is already working on their hours, now is the time to get those last hours in! If they haven’t started yet, there’s still time to serve their community and qualify.

Our Principles of Food Prep students put on their aprons and got right to work! 🥕🫑🥒 From chopping veggies to building practical kitchen skills, our Eagles are learning by doing. Constitution Week officially begins on September 17, but Martin County School District students are already getting a head start!

Further highlighting the importance of this annual observance, the Martin County School Board approved the 2026 Constitution Week Proclamation at Tuesday night's meeting, developed with Ms. Rae Scimeca and the Halpatiokee Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

As we recognize the 239th anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution, students across the District will spend the week learning about the document that continues to shape our nation and protect our freedoms.

The day celebrates Dolly Parton’s remarkable contributions to children and literacy, along with the impact of programs like Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in helping young readers build a lifelong love of books.

We’re proud to celebrate alongside the Children’s Services Council of Martin County and The Library Foundation of Martin County as we encourage our school community to read, dream and grow together.

As a precaution, the Martin County School District will not provide squishy toys as classroom incentives, PBIS rewards or sensory items.

Two weeks in… and our Eagles have already earned their just desserts! 🦅🍨😎 We asked our students to help us keep things fresh by bringing in their completed Yellow Card Packets or updating contact information in the FOCUS Parent Portal - and they delivered! 📋✅ So naturally, we celebrated with the only reasonable reward: Culver’s ice cream! 🍦🎉 A HUGE thank you to our friends at Culver’s for always helping us scoop up a reason to celebrate our Eagles! We’re so grateful for a community partner who always comes through with a little extra sweetness. 💙 Our Eagles are off to a great start this school year. They are ready for more and we’re happy to celebrate every win along the way! 🦅🎉
