Raiders must display teamwork, physical fitness, and discipline. As a team member, Cadets can expect to run as much as 6 miles in competition. Team competition events may vary by school, but most events consist of the following: Physical Fitness Test consisting of push-ups, sit-ups and a 3-mile run; Litter Carry with 3 rucksacks (rucksacks range from 20lbs to 45lbs and the litter weighs up to 145 pounds) while traversing over one mile of rugged terrain; Obstacle Course; One Rope Bridge; 3-5-mile team run. All team members must finish together for a team time. This is considered a JROTC organization. Team members may receive a RAIDER CORD after two years of participation and a Varsity letter after one year.
