Summer Break and grades
Our PBIS Team and PTSA wrapped up the school year with an EPIC Jaguar Jam! 🐆🎉 From blow ups to the dunk tank (special shoutout to Officer Heeter and Ms. Meekins for being good sports 💦😂), the fun was nonstop! And we can’t forget Mrs. Raines, who was an absolute champion for getting pied in the face… repeatedly! 🥧🤣 Now THAT is dedication to Jaguar fun! Unfortunately, the weather had other plans for our 7th and 8th graders ☔️😅 but that didn’t stop the Jaguar spirit! Here’s a few snaps from all the fun! 📸✨

Mrs. Koehler’s 6th grade classes wrapped up the school year with an exciting “Shark Tank” experience! Students applied everything they’ve learned in Ancient History by creating original inventions designed for ancient civilizations. From clever tools to innovative solutions for everyday challenges, students showcased their creativity, problem-solving, and deep understanding of the past. It was a fun and engaging way to bring history to life—what an amazing way to end the year! 🌟

Our 6th grade Ancient History students stepped back in time this week as they experienced Pok-a-Toc, a traditional Mesoamerican ball game played by ancient civilizations like the Maya! Students learned how this game was more than just sport—it held cultural and religious significance, often representing the battle between light and darkness. Using teamwork, strategy, and plenty of energy, they tried their hand at keeping the ball in play (just like ancient players, who couldn’t use their hands!). It was an exciting, hands-on way to bring history to life and deepen our understanding of ancient Mesoamerican cultures. Way to go, 6th graders! 🎉

On Friday, one of our most cherished Stuart Middle School traditions took place as we celebrated 34 outstanding 8th grade Jaguars who earned ALL A’s throughout all three years of middle school! 🐆⭐️ These students have demonstrated incredible dedication, perseverance, grit, and commitment to excellence during their time at SMS. As a reward for their hard work and academic achievement, they attended a special celebratory lunch at Benihana — a time-honored event that recognizes the very best of our Jaguar family. 🥢🎉 We are beyond proud of these students for holding themselves to the highest standards and consistently striving for success. As the school year comes to a close, we celebrate not only your accomplishments, but the determination and character that helped you achieve them. Congratulations, Jaguars — your future is bright! 💙🧡🐾
