Day 1 of Teacher Appreciation Week and our PTSA already set the bar sky-high ☕✨
Nothing says “we’ve got this Monday” like an early morning coffee bar to fuel the SMS staff. Because let’s be honest… a caffeinated teacher = a powerful teacher 💪📚
Huge shoutout to our PTSA for always going above and beyond. The extra effort never goes unnoticed—and today was just more proof that ours is simply the best. 💙

It's Teacher Appreciation Week! 🍎✨ Here is this week's events on and around campus!

Mrs. Roselle and Ms. DeJesus’s class truly understood the assignment! 🎨✨
To celebrate Principal Appreciation Day, they created a one-of-a-kind masterpiece for Dr. Jones—and let’s just say… the creativity is a solid 10/10! 👏🐆
What a fun, thoughtful, and totally unique way to show love for an amazing principal. Way to go, Jaguars! 💙🧡

This week, Mr Quijano's Gifted students showcased their research presentations centered around the essential question: “How do our communities shape our experience of growing up?”
Through thoughtful interviews with parents and teachers, students explored how community influences childhood experiences and helps shape who we become. Their presentations reflected meaningful connections, strong communication skills, and a deeper understanding of the world around them.
We are so proud of the hard work, curiosity, and insight these students demonstrated—what a fantastic job! 👏📚

Our Civics EOC Bootcamp is in full swing and we are loving the energy! 🇺🇸📚
Huge shoutout to these dedicated students who gave up part of their Saturday to show up, put in the work, and get one step closer to success on their state exam. That kind of commitment is what Jaguar pride is all about! 🐆💙
Missed the first session or want a little extra boost? We’ve got you covered! Join us for Session 2 on Saturday, May 16th from 9AM–12PM at SMS. Let’s keep the momentum going and finish strong!

⛵️CARDBOARD BOAT RACES⛵️
The 8th Annual Cardboard Boat Races took over the Martin County High School pool today—and yes, there were boats that floated… and boats that absolutely did not. 😂🌊
This year was extra fun with middle school joining for the first time!
🏆 Dr. David L. Anderson Middle School swept the speed awards in middle school and also took home Most Spirited Team!
🏆 Crystal Lake Elementary School dominated the elementary speed awards, while Bessey Creek Elementary School brought the spirit and earned Most Spirited Team!
Best Boat Blueprint: Indiantown Middle School & Hobe Sound Elementary School
🚢 Titanic Award: Stuart Middle School & Citrus Grove Elementary School
A day full of floating victories, dramatic sinkings, education, and unforgettable fun—just how Cardboard Boat Races should be! 🚤💙

Check out this week's events! 👇

Today we had an absolute blast competing in the Martin County School District Cardboard Boat Race! 🚤🎉
A huge thank you to AP Forbes, student representative Charlotte Lavelle, Mrs Raines, Ms Meekins, Mrs Dawedeit, Dr. Jones, Mr. Hiatt, Ms Armstrong, and everyone else who helped make this event such a success. Your teamwork and spirit made the day unforgettable!
While we didn’t place in the administrative race, we’re proud to say we kept Mrs Forbes afloat and out of the water the entire time! 🙌💪
And we didn’t leave empty-handed… we proudly took home the Titanic Award! 🚢😄
So much fun, so many laughs, and memories made all around. We’re already looking forward to next year—and you better believe we’re coming back with our A-game! 💥

Today was all about teamwork and growth! 🧠✏️ Mrs Dawedeit's students teamed up to tackle the most-missed problems from their Chapter 9 Assessment, working together to find the right solutions. Not only did they sharpen their math skills, but they also practiced collaboration and problem-solving along the way.
Learning + teamwork = a win-win! 👏💙🧡
