🍽NOURISHING ALL STUDENTS FOR SUCCESS🍽 No school? No problem! Our Food & Nutrition Services Department continues to offer free meals to ALL children aged 18 and under during the summer months with no income restrictions. Breakfasts and lunches are now being served at a few locations, but more sites will be available starting June 3. Our Summer Feeding Bus is back on the road this year! This happens when the moon passes directly between Earth and the sun, momentarily casting a shadow and blocking the sun's light. Martin County will not experience a "totality" like other parts of the country and can expect to see approximately 51% coverage of the sun. 🍎CHOOSING THE BEST🍎 During an Emergency Meeting held this evening, the Martin County School Board voted to add Martin County High School and Jensen Beach High School to the list of approved Controlled Open Enrollment schools for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. This means in AND out-of-county residents can apply to ANY MCSD-operated school during the application period that will open tomorrow, March 1 – March 31. For high school students, applications for signature programs are no longer required as part of the Choice process, but must be completed if your child would like to be considered for entrance into a signature program. ℹ️Students accepted into a Controlled Open Enrollment choice option must have their own mode of transportation to and from school. 🤝𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧🤝 Sunday, Willougbhy Learning Center and the Knight's of Columbus handed out tootsie-rolls and collected donations outside of Saint Andrews Church. Standing out in their bright yellow vest, the volunteers collected donations that will help children and adults in our community with intellectual and developmental disabilities .
