🌾🐄 Field Trip Fun! 🐓🌻 Our kindergarteners had an amazing day visiting the farm after wrapping up our nonfiction writing unit! 📚✏️ Seeing real animals and farm tools brought their learning to life in the best way. Students made connections to everything they’ve been writing about—from how farmers care for animals to the plants we eat every day. 🌽🐑 We loved watching their curiosity bloom and hearing them share fun facts they learned during our unit. Curious minds in 2nd grade finished their Benchmark Unit on Government Workers with an unforgettable trip to Martin County Sheriff’s Department! 🚓 👮 👮‍♂️ Students toured the 911 call center, learned about past and current sheriffs, explored the forensics lab, and learned when it’s appropriate to call 911-plus they got to meet Patches, the therapy dog! 🐶 ♥️ A heartfelt thank you to all the men and women who keep our community safe, and to the MCSD for welcoming our students and giving them a hands-on learning experience. #BCEGators #LearningInAction #UnstoppableTogether

🚍 Third Grade Field Trip – Learning in Our Community! 💧 Our third graders took their learning out into the community to explore the importance of local government! Students visited the water treatment plant to see where their drinking water comes from and learn how this essential service keeps our community safe and healthy. They also got a close-up look at some of the trucks and machinery that keep our town running — including our local bus, paramedics, 🚒 firefighters, road sweepers, 🚛 and crews who pick up large debris, among others. Students had the chance to speak with the operators and learn how each of their jobs helps keep our community safe, clean, and organized. A special highlight of the trip was meeting Commissioner Ciampi, who shared about his role in local government and how all of these departments work together to serve our community. We’re so proud of our third graders for their curiosity and thoughtful questions throughout the day! 🌟 #BCEGators #UnstoppableTogether #LearningInAction
