🔬👂📚 K is for Kindergarten ✏️🖍️🚌 What a week of learning, exploring, and discovering! Our kindergarteners practiced their UFLI skills, building those important early reading foundations. 📖✨ Then we put on our scientist hats and got curious! 🔬🧪 We went on a listening walk, using our sense of hearing to notice and identify sounds all around us. 👂🍃 We also became scientists as we explored living and nonliving things! 🪱🍬 Students compared gummy worms and real earthworms, observing their characteristics and thinking about what makes something living. What a fun (and tasty!) way to learn! From phonics to science, our kindergarteners are learning through seeing, hearing, comparing, questioning, and exploring! 💡🌱 #BCEGators #ShineBrightTogether #MartinMeansMore

➗✖️ Math in Action at Bessey Creek! 🐊🌟 Our 5th grade classrooms were full of high engagement and mathematical thinking! Students visited the "Burger Shop" to practice multiplying, adding, and subtracting with decimals. While our 6th Grade Accelerated Math students challenged themselves by determining the distance between points. Throughout the learning, students collaborated, asked questions, explained their thinking, and self-assessed their understanding. We love seeing our Gators actively engaged and taking ownership of their learning! #ShineBrightTogether #MathInAction

🐊 Help Your Gator Build Positive Relationships: Encourage your child to listen, include others, use kind words, and speak up when something doesn’t feel right. When challenges happen with friends, help them practice talking it out, seeing another person’s perspective, and asking a trusted adult for help when needed.
