πCELEBRATING SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKERSπ
The Martin County School District is proud to celebrate our school social service workers in honor of National School Social Work Week!
Our School Social Service Workers are essential members of Team MCSD - they assist children, families, faculty and staff in creating a healthy and positive learning environment for all. They work tirelessly to identify and provide services to students (and their families) who face serious barriers to success, including poverty, disabilities, abuse, addiction and the loss of loved ones. We appreciate their professionalism, compassion and commitment to our students, families and schools!

π½CELEBRATING HEALTHY CHOICESπ½
Busy weekday mornings make it a challenge for many families to find time for a healthy breakfast. Fortunately, the Martin County School District offers nutritious school breakfasts, complete with fruit and low-fat or fat-free milk, to ensure students are fueled for learning every school day! π₯πππ₯π₯―
This year, the U.S. Department of Agriculture is allowing all children to receive school breakfast and lunch for free, without an application, so itβs a great time for families to give school breakfast a try.
The District's Food & Nutrition Services professionals and students will be encouraged to show their enthusiasm for school breakfast from March 7-11 as the district celebrates #NSBW22 with special menus, activities, and more!

We LOVED celebrating our amazing Guidance Counselor, Rennay Bookall, last week! National School Counselor week (February 7-11) is designed to highlight the important contributions counselors have on school success. She positively impacts our students with conflict resolution, Character Counts, and career awareness initiatives; coordinates programs that assist families, such as MTSS, positive behavior supports, and evaluation services; and she helps teachers create classroom success with the Dazzling Diamondback program, wellness activities, and unity projects. Ms. Bookall, thank you for all that you do!

Kindness and compassion are meant to be shared today and every day. Happy #ValentinesDay, Martin County!

Our thoughts remain with Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, Broward County Public Schools and the City of Parkland as we remember the 17 lives lost and many more who were injured during a senseless tragedy four years ago.
We will never forget. #MSDStrongπ¦
