The Character Counts focus for the month of April is gratitude. Gratitude is being thankful and sharing it with others. Andres was nominated by Mrs. Miller because he is always appreciative of everything he is given! He does not take anything for granted. Ms. Montessi is our teacher winner. Ms. Montessi works diligently with all her students to ensure they are showing growth. She is a great advocate for all students and we are so thankful for her. Newfield Farm continues to be a cherished community partner for CGE. Earlier this week they visited our campus with James Fitzgerald who represented their builder, Mattamy Homes USA. They were here to help us make Principal Rynca’s and our leadership team’s beautification dream come true. Mr. Thomas, our Plant Operator, has worked diligently to return our sprinkler system to a dependable level and we are ready to make our campus exterior look as fabulous as our interior. This happens when the moon passes directly between Earth and the sun, momentarily casting a shadow and blocking the sun's light. Martin County will not experience a "totality" like other parts of the country and can expect to see approximately 51% coverage of the sun. 🍎CHOOSING THE BEST🍎 During an Emergency Meeting held this evening, the Martin County School Board voted to add Martin County High School and Jensen Beach High School to the list of approved Controlled Open Enrollment schools for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. This means in AND out-of-county residents can apply to ANY MCSD-operated school during the application period that will open tomorrow, March 1 – March 31. For high school students, applications for signature programs are no longer required as part of the Choice process, but must be completed if your child would like to be considered for entrance into a signature program. ℹ️Students accepted into a Controlled Open Enrollment choice option must have their own mode of transportation to and from school.
