Williams Elementary Principal Sarah Tuthill and Port Salerno Elementary School Assistant Principal Mr. David Shaffer represented the Martin County School District with pride and excellence at the Florida Department of Education’s School Leadership Recognition Summit! Mrs. Tuthill was honored as a finalist for the 2025 Florida Principal of the Year and MCSD's 2025 Principal of the Year, and Mr. Shaffer was honored as our 2025 Assistant Principal of the Year. Although Mrs. Tuthill did not take home the statewide title, her leadership, heart, and unwavering commitment to students continue to make a lasting impact — and we couldn’t be prouder. Being recognized by the FLDOE is a tremendous honor and a reflection of the excellence they bring to our schools each day. Their passion and dedication for student success inspire us.
