There is SO much to celebrate at FAWE! 🎉💙 Our Sailfish students made a big splash at Tuesday afternoon’s school board meeting as several groups were recognized for their incredible accomplishments! Congratulations to RJ Dupree for being named a cursive contest winner! ✍️🐟 Also recognized was our FAWE Math Olympics team for bringing home the district championship for the SECOND year in a row! 🏆➕ Our amazing students continue to make waves with their hard work and problem-solving skills! Finally, congratulations to our amazing Odyssey of the Mind team who did a fantastic job at regionals and recently competed at the state level representing both FAWE and MCSD with creativity, teamwork, and Sailfish pride! 🌟 We are so proud of all of these outstanding students for the way they continue to shine in and out of the classroom. Way to go, Sailfish! 💙🐟

🎪✨ Kindergarten Circus Fun! ✨🎪

Step right up! Last week, our Kindergarteners amazed us all as they took center stage for their very own Kindergarten Circus and what a show it was!

From comical clowns to daring “lion tamers” and energetic performers, our youngest Sailfish brought big smiles, laughter, and confidence to the spotlight. Their hard work and creativity truly shined, and it was clear they had been practicing their acts with pride.

Thank you to our incredible teachers and staff for making this magical experience possible, and to our families for cheering on our students every step of the way. We are so proud of our kindergarten performers! You all stole the show! 🎭🐯🎈

Music class has been glowing at FAWE as students enjoy end-of-the-year Music Glow Parties! ✨🎶 Some classes have already lit up Mrs. Dougherty's music room with glowing games, neon fun, and musical challenges, while other classes still have their bright celebrations coming later this week! These glow-tastic parties are more than just fun - students are reviewing rhythms, musical terminology, note reading, dynamics, and favorite lessons from throughout the year while shining bright in the process. 💡🎵 We love seeing our students end the school year on such a glowing high note! 🕶️🌟 BIG shout-out to our magnificent music teacher, Mrs. Dougherty, for making these glow parties something students look forward to each year! Your passion shines bright and creates some incredible memories for our FAWE students!

🌟 Our 4th grade "dug" into Florida history today at the Children’s Museum! 🔍Our students stepped back in time to explore the incredible local history of our state. They learned about the Ais tribe and discovered the mysteries of the Lost Spanish Fleet of 1715. ⚓️ 💰The best part? Students got hands-on by making pottery and necklaces, much like the ancient Ais Indians did! 🏺📿

We are still blown away with how spoiled we felt during Teacher Appreciation Week! A huge THANK YOU to our parents, staff and students kindness, creativity, and genuine thoughtfulness made every single day feel special.

Your efforts didn’t just make our week… they made our year. 💙✨

💚 May is Mental Health Awareness Month! 💚 This Friday, we’re encouraging all Sailfish to wear GREEN to show support for mental health awareness and remind one another that kindness, compassion, and connection matter. A simple smile, encouraging word, or act of kindness can make a big difference in someone’s day. Our 3rd–5th graders will take their final MATH FAST test tomorrow, and we couldn’t be prouder of the effort they’ve put in all year long. From problem-solving to perseverance, they’ve grown in so many ways - and this is their time to show it!

A little prep tonight can make a big difference, so charge those laptops, get a good night’s rest, and start the morning with a solid breakfast with a side of encouraging words. Your support at home helps build the confidence they need to walk in ready to tackle their final FAST test of the school year! 💙💚

Families, you can help set your children up for success by making sure they recharge BOTH their brains and their laptops tonight and send them in with a little extra love and encouragement tomorrow morning.
