⚾💙 Jackie Robinson Day at FAWE 💙⚾ Felix A. Williams Elementary is proud to celebrate Jackie Robinson Day as we honor his incredible legacy and the powerful impact he has had on sports. Jackie Robinson showed courage, determination, and leadership. He broke barriers and opened doors for generations to come.   Our Sailfish will enjoy a fun-filled day of baseball-themed related arts stations, where they’ll learn about teamwork, perseverance, and the importance of standing up for what’s right, and they’ll have a great time doing it! ⚾✨ We encourage our students to wear baseball related attire (no cleats) or the number 42.   It’s a special day of learning, reflection, and fun as we celebrate a true legend whose impact goes far beyond the game. 💙   #JackieRobinsonDay #FAWESailfish #MoreThanAGame #LegacyAndLeadership

🐢 Ode to Felix 🐢 Oh Felix, our friend with the shell so wide, You stroll through campus with slow, steady pride. You cross our path and we all hit pause, You make the rules… and we follow your laws! You dig super burrows deep under the ground, (30+ feet long - wow, that’s world-renowned!) So many different animals share your space, Your home is the coolest hangout place. You bask in the sunshine, you take it slow, Teaching us all it’s okay to go with the flow. We love you, Felix, you’re absolutely the best, FAWE’s favorite wild friend (no one would contest!) 💙💚🥳 Happy National Gopher Tortoise Day to Felix and all the amazing gopher tortoises. Keep digging, keep shining, and keep stealing our hearts one slow step at a time! 💙💚 🐢

✨🌌 A Stellar Experience for FAWE 3rd Graders! 🌌✨ This past Tuesday, our FAWE 3rd graders had an out-of-this-world adventure at the Hallstrom Planetarium at Indian River State College! 🚀 As constellations and planets came to life above them, students explored stars, learned about telescopes, and danced through our beautiful solar system in a truly immersive way. Even more exciting, so many students connected their classroom learning to real-world events like Artemis II, showing just how powerful these experiences can be. 🌕 One unforgettable highlight? Holding a real meteorite rock estimated to be 4.5 million years old! ☄️ Students were absolutely amazed by how heavy it was and how special it was to hold something from literally out of our world! 🤯 From the incredible planetarium technology to the sense of wonder it sparked, this was a day that truly inspired curiosity and imagination. A huge thank you to our amazing 3rd grade team for making this special experience possible! 🙌

🐣✨ FAWE Egg-stravaganza Alert! ✨🐣 Parents, consider this your official notice: there is no need to fill eggs with candy or toys this season. Some of our upper elementary students discovered the real excitement comes from finding eggs filled with…✨math problems!✨ In all seriousness, our students LOVED this springtastic twist on math practice. They were all smiles throughout the entire activity, some literally HOPPING from egg to egg, eager to solve the next problem. 🐣 Disclaimer: FAWE makes no guarantees that results of math filled eggs at home will mirror those seen at school and is not responsible for any unexpected reactions, negotiations, or sudden drops in egg-hunting enthusiasm. Parents (and bunnies) assume all risk.
