Mrs. Berkely’s class worked together to build their class planting cart to house their plants and crops. Some of the crops include peppers and corn. One of the classroom jobs each week for students is to be the class gardener. Students enjoyed showing off their crops to guests while visiting campus.

First quarter report cards will be posted tomorrow, October 25.

🌱GROWING STRONG🌱
Students in Ms. Urbay's class at Felix A. Williams Elementary School have enjoyed researching and planning for their garden.
"We spent time considering the plants we had and how we might organize/classify them into planters in a way that made sense and would allow us to give tours in the future to younger students," Ms. Urbay shared. "The students came up with ideas like having one planter specifically for flowering plants and another for non-flowering plants. Now we are learning about specific plants, their unique needs, their uses and how we can best care for them for as long as we can keep them alive!"
Way to go, Sailfish!

🚍SCHOOL BUS SAFETY🚍
The Martin County School District is proud to celebrate #NationalSchoolBusSafetyWeek. School bus transportation plays a critical role in the education of our students - our buses travel more than 1.7 million miles each year!
Help promote safety in our community by exercising caution when sharing the roadways with our school buses. Limit distractions, obey all traffic laws and be mindful of students waiting at bus stops.
