Grade 4️⃣ students in Mrs. Cagni's class spent time this week interviewing historic railroad tycoons using Magic School AI to learn more about this time period. Students had multiple historic figures they could interact with in order to become more familiar with details and prepare for their ✍️ in unit 7 Benchmark (ELA).





💙HSE Student Advisory Council💙 March meeting, we discussed big concerns and student needs. Student leaders in grades 3-5 met on Thursday morning to provide school administration feedback on topics that are on their mind and impacting their learning experience. April meeting will include developing an action plan by our student leaders. We are thankful for their commitment to our community.

Hundreds of our fifth graders put their creativity to work in the 7th Annual Kids Tag Art contest, sponsored by Martin County Tax Collector, Ruth Pietruszewski. Using both artistic and critical thinking skills, students designed unique tags that families and community members can purchase as license plates, key fobs, or bike plates.

Hobe Sound: School lanyards and student ID badges must be worn daily. These assist with safety, lunch purchases, bus boarding, and library check out. Thank you for building a strong habit with having this daily. We recommend they are stored in student backpacks. The first one was provided free. Replacement fee is $5.

🥳Celebrating Responsibilty! 🥳 2 of our 7 Extended Day groups had 100% wearing school IDs 🪪 at Extended Day. This safety requirement is required for all of our students every school day arrival through being picked up at Extended Day. If your student needs a replacement, please communicate with the classroom teacher. The replacement fee is $5. 🎉Way to go Eagles. Extended Day celebrated all groups with a Friday popsicle party for meeting this expectation.

Martin County Tax Collector, Ruth Pietruszewski, and Martin County School District Coordinator Mark Cowles, traveled to our campus to notify the 2025 Kids Tag Art Winners. The Awards Night will occur on Wedensday April 2nd at the The School Board Room at 1939 SE Federal Highway in Stuart at 6 PM. All student artwork is available for purchase and the artwork can be made into a license plate, bicycle plate, or keychain. 🌮Taco’Bout Amazing!🤩
The Hobe Sound Elementary Odyssey of the Mind team competed with schools from 6 surrounding counties in the Palms Regional Odyssey of the Mind Competition, taking Second Place for their project! 🏅
They worked hard to create a mechanical animal(robot) which performed tricks assigned by the judges, wrote a play to perform the tricks, made their own scenery and costumes…STEAM and Teamwork at its best!

Today, Mrs. Ruiz's Grade 1️⃣ class arrived to school ready to learn, including 100% in attendance and 100% wearing HSE Student IDs. They were celebrated with a bonus recess with Mrs. Elliott. Way to go, Eagles. We are seeking a streak of this responsible behavior!

📊Third graders in Ms. Quinn's class were working collaboratively to collect and analyze numerical and categorical data this week in class. They wrapped up their learning with a fun competition using IXL class jam. Keep up the hard work, Eagles.
