Our 2nd graders had an exciting end to their benchmark unit! 🦖✨
After learning about Sue the dinosaur and how scientists carefully excavate fossils, our students became paleontologists for the day! They worked patiently and used special tools to excavate their very own dinosaur eggs and fossils.
We talked a lot about how important it is to be slow, gentle, and precise—just like real scientists—so we don’t damage anything important. The focus, teamwork, and excitement in the court were amazing to see!
Hands-on learning like this helps bring science to life, and our students did an incredible job digging into their learning! 🦴💛

Mrs. Clark and Ms. Frostrom’s 2nd graders had an egg-citing time reviewing math skills they’ve learned so far this year! 🐣📚
Students participated in a fun, Easter-style scavenger hunt, searching for colorful eggs filled with math challenges. From addition and subtraction to problem-solving, each egg gave them a chance to show off their skills while working together and staying active.

Our JBE Chorus proudly took part in Martin County School District’s 50th Music In Our Schools event! 🎶
This is such a special event that brings together musicians from across the district to celebrate the power of music and the impact it has on our students and community.
Our Vikings did an amazing job representing JBE. Their hard work, talent, and confidence truly shined on stage, and we couldn’t be more proud of them.
A big shoutout to our music director, Mr. Skrobinski, for his dedication and for preparing our students for such a memorable performance.

Mrs. Clark’s 2nd graders became historians! 📚
Students created their own primary sources by interviewing a classmate, writing about artifacts that represent them, and completing a diary entry describing their morning. It was a fun way to learn how historians use personal stories and objects to understand the past.
Great work, young historians! ✨
The students in Mrs. McIntyre’s first-grade class put their sentence building and expository writing skills to the test by explaining the steps for making a PB&J sandwich. 🥪
We followed their exact instructions… and let’s just say we had a lot of fun along the way! It quickly became clear how important good details are when giving directions. Great writing leads to great sandwiches!
