Early Release Day March 4
Mrs. Clarkโ€™s class had a great time at the Environmental Studies Center! We learned about the food chain and how plants and animals depend on each other. We also explored animal adaptations and discovered how animals survive in their habitats. Ask your 2nd grader what they learned! ๐ŸŒŽโœจ

Mrs. McIntyreโ€™s first graders had a fantastic time celebrating the number 120 and showing off everything theyโ€™ve learned! ๐ŸŽ‰

To make the day even more fun, some students even dressed up as if they were 120 years old โ€” and the results were adorable!

Learning + creativity = a perfect day in first grade! ๐Ÿ’™

Happy 120th Day of School from Granny Engelโ€™s First Grade Class! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›

Our first graders celebrated in style by dressing up like they were 120 years young โ€” complete with gray hair, glasses, canes, and lots of personality! ๐Ÿ‘ต๐Ÿ‘ด

What a fun way to celebrate 120 days of learning, growing, and becoming smarter every single day. We are so proud of our โ€œ120-year-olds!โ€ ๐ŸŽ‰

Ms. Creagerโ€™s First Grade turned 120 today! ๐Ÿ‘ต๐Ÿ‘ด๐Ÿ’› To celebrate the 120th day of school, our sweet first graders came dressed as 120-year-olds โ€” and they absolutely understood the assignment! We saw gray hair, curlers, suspenders, canes, pearls, and cardigans! We may look 120 years old, but weโ€™re 120 days smarter, brighter, and better than ever! โœจ Growing minds, big imaginations, and lots of laughs โ€” thatโ€™s what first grade is all about! #120DaysSmarter #FirstGradeFun #AgedToPerfection

Thinking was visible everywhere at JBE during our Principalโ€™s Classroom focused on Building Thinking Classrooms! ๐Ÿ’™

Teachers immersed themselves in high-engagement math strategies right alongside students, experiencing firsthand how these approaches spark discussion, problem solving, and deep understanding. Our students rose to the challenge, actively sharing their thinking and showing just how powerful engagement can be. ๐Ÿ˜„

A special thank you to Denise Harrison, our district math coach, for helping lead this learning alongside our students and staff. Her support continues to strengthen math instruction across our school.

We are so proud of our teachers for continually growing their practice to give our Vikings the very best learning experiences every day. ๐Ÿ’›

Caring in action at JBE! ๐Ÿ’™

Our amazing school counselor, Mrs. Sportsman, has been working with our first graders on what it means to care for others. Through fun lessons and hands-on collaborative activities, students practiced sharing, helping, listening, and encouraging one another.

It was heartwarming to see our young Vikings putting caring into action and learning that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference. ๐Ÿ’›

Winter came to kindergartenโ€ฆ JBE style! โ„๏ธ

Ms. Boudreauโ€™s class explored a series of books about winter and snow, building vocabulary and comprehension along the way. To celebrate their learning, students wrapped up with a fun โ€œsnowball tossโ€ โ€” safely tossing soft snowballs at Principal Smith! ๐ŸŽฏ๐Ÿ˜„

A perfect mix of literacy, movement, and joy โ€” learning brought to life! ๐Ÿ’™

Our talented JBE students โ€” along with dedicated volunteers โ€” put their creativity to work in art class to create stunning sculptures of three iconic Everglades animals: a Roseate Spoonbill, American Alligator, and Florida Panther cub! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›

These incredible pieces will be on display at the Martin County Fair from February 13โ€“22 as part of a โ€œSchool and Art Program Collaborative Project.โ€

We are so proud of the hard work, imagination, and teamwork that went into this special project. If youโ€™re visiting the fair, be sure to stop by and take a look!

Thank you to everyone who shared their time and talent to make this possible. ๐ŸŠ๐Ÿฆฉ๐Ÿ†
