๐UNSTOPPABLE TEAMMATE: LIFESAVER EDITION๐
Some moments remind us exactly why the right people in the right place truly matter. At Jensen Beach Elementary School, one of those moments happened when Ms. Dina McFadden didnโt hesitateโshe acted.
When a 5th-grader began choking on a water bottle cap, Ms. McFadden relied on her training, her calm, and her instincts. While others called 911, she immediately performed the Heimlich maneuver, helping him dislodge the cap and breathe again. His mom, a para on campus, rushed overโgrateful beyond words that her child had an everyday hero by his side when it mattered most.
Today, Superintendent Maine, Executive Director of HR Jeff Raimann and his team, Principal Smith, Assistant Principal Law, the student, and his mom surprised Ms. McFadden with a special Unstoppable Teammate Award, celebrating her courage, care, and quick life-saving action.
Ms. McFadden, thank you for being extraordinaryโand for showing what it truly means to go #ALLINMartin๐.

Our Viking Visionaries have been hard at work inspiring their classmates to show up, shine, and take charge of their learning. ๐
They recently visited our kindergarten classes to share why coming to school every day matters. From making new friends to building strong habits to earning leadership opportunities as they get older, they helped our youngest Vikings see that showing up opens doors.
Theyโve also been creating morning messages for WJBE to encourage all students to be here, be engaged, and be ready to learn. Attendance isnโt just a number. Itโs a daily choice that helps every student grow.
Weโre so proud of their leadership and the positive influence theyโre bringing to our campus. Keep leading the way, Visionaries! ๐๐๐

Mrs. McConnellโs fifth graders were hard at work with Building Thinking Classrooms as they explored rules for input-output tables ๐ขโจ. Students collaborated, shared their reasoning, and tested their ideas as they worked through different number patterns.
It was great to see them talking math, thinking deeply, and supporting one another as they made sense of the relationships in each table. This kind of teamwork and problem solving is what Building Thinking Classrooms is all about, and they crushed it ๐๐.

We are so proud to share that Mrs. Jill Ann Boudreau, one of our incredible kindergarten teachers, is representing Jensen Beach Elementary as our Literacy Teacher of the Year ๐๐.
She creates a joyful, engaging, and purposeful literacy environment where students grow, take risks, and fall in love with learning. Her passion for early literacy shines through in everything she does, and her students feel it every day.
We are grateful for her dedication and thrilled to celebrate her amazing work at JBE ๐๐.

Mrs. Licameliโs class took our SPIRE dictation steps and made them a little more interactive. Instead of jumping straight to pencil and paper, students worked together to break apart sounds, talk through spelling, and check their thinking as a team โจ. Once everyone agreed on the sounds and spelling, they wrote it on their dictation sheets. Their focus was the vowel team ou, and they did an awesome job applying what theyโve learned ๐๐!

Last week, our 2nd graders took their learning beyond the classroom with a fun and hands-on trip to the zoo! ๐พ๐ฆ
After spending the last few weeks studying habitats, animals, and their life cycles, they finally got to see it all up close. From watching animals in their natural-like habitats to spotting behaviors we talked about in class, the excitement was priceless! ๐ฟ๐๐ฆ
Such a great day of learning, exploring, and connecting what weโve studied to the real world. Proud of our curious kiddos! ๐๐

Our fourth graders are thriving in music with Mr. Skrobinski. Heโs been guiding them through xylophone practice while helping them build a strong foundation in music theory, and their growth has been incredible to see.
Students are learning how to read, play, and connect music in meaningful ways, and their confidence is shining through. Weโre grateful for the energy, patience, and joy Mr. Skrobinski brings to his classroom every day.
Way to go, fourth graders, and thank you, Mr. Skrobinski, for inspiring our musicians. ๐ต๐๐

Our kindergarten students brought a little magic to JBE last week with their very own Balloons Over Broadway parade.
After reading the beloved book and learning about the creativity behind the Macyโs parade balloons, our students designed and built their own balloon characters. They proudly marched through the school, sharing their hard work, imagination, and big kindergarten creativity with all of us.
It was such a joyful celebration of reading, learning, and hands-on fun. Weโre so proud of our youngest learners for bringing this tradition to life in such a special way. ๐๐๐

Weโre proud to share a special celebration from last week that filled our JBE family with joy.
Taylor Grand, an outstanding 5th grade student, was recognized by the Jensen Beach Chamber of Commerce as Student of the Month. Taylor is the kind of student who lifts others up, works with quiet determination, and shows what it means to lead with heart. Weโre so lucky to have her representing JBE.
Weโre equally thrilled to celebrate Mrs. Lauren Liberty, our incredible science teacher, who was honored as Teacher of the Month. Lauren brings curiosity, excitement, and genuine care into her classroom every single day. Her students feel it. Our staff feels it. Our whole school is better because of her.
Please join us in congratulating Taylor and Mrs. Liberty. Their hard work, kindness, and positive spirit make us all proud to be part of Jensen Beach Elementary. ๐๐

Mrs. Clarkโs 2nd graders loved learning all about the history of the Macyโs Day Parade this week! ๐ After exploring how the iconic balloons came to be, they got to design their very own balloon theyโd want to see floating down the parade route. Their creativity was sky-high! ๐๐ฆ
