April is National Autism Awareness Month 💙
We celebrated in the media center with interactive learning centers that gave students a hands-on understanding of experiences some individuals with autism may have. Students explored a sensory lab, brain lab, communication lab, and fidget lab—each designed to build empathy, awareness, and understanding.
It was a meaningful week of learning, growth, and perspective. So proud of our students for being open-minded and engaged!
We had such a fun time at the Sunshine State Young Readers party sponsored by the JBE PTA!
Students enjoyed a pizza party along with dancing and celebrating together.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this such a special and memorable day!

The 8th Annual Cardboard Boat Races took over the Martin County High School pool today—and yes, there were boats that floated… and boats that absolutely did not. 😂🌊
This year was extra fun with middle school joining for the first time!
🏆 Dr. David L. Anderson Middle School swept the speed awards in middle school and also took home Most Spirited Team!
🏆 Crystal Lake Elementary School dominated the elementary speed awards, while Bessey Creek Elementary School brought the spirit and earned Most Spirited Team!

Spring brought a beautiful learning moment to Mrs. McIntyre’s first grade class! 🌸💙💛
As part of their celebration of the season, students took time to observe how the trees have changed from fall to spring. They noticed how what once looked like bare sticks has transformed into beautiful blossoms.
Through their observations, students discovered how increased rainfall and changing seasons help bring nature back to life. It was a wonderful way to connect learning to the world around them! 🌼🌳
Mrs. Clark’s 2nd graders took over the classroom with a fun Construction Room! 🛠️📏
Students practiced their measurement skills through engaging math activities, showing great teamwork and focus along the way. We’re so proud of their hard work!

Their Mom Tori shares, "Being part of an active-duty Coast Guard family has so many benefits and challenges. Most importantly, it has shaped how deeply we value time together. Frequent moves, changing schedules or routines, and never truly knowing what comes next have taught us to stay flexible, support one another, and make the most of every moment—especially through little adventures whenever we can. We are incredibly proud of "Dada’s" sacrifice and service to his country and the example he sets every day. Our time at JBE has been especially meaningful, and we’re grateful for the strong friendships and supportive community we’ve built here, it truly feels like family."
