🌎🌊ECO-SCHOOL IN ACTION🌊🌎

Jensen Beach Elementary continues to live out its mission as the Center for Environmental Stewardship—connecting classroom learning to the local environment around them!

Through A Day in the Life of the Indian River Lagoon, and in partnership with ORCA (Ocean Research and Conservation Association), U. S. Sailing Center, and the Environmental Studies Center, young scientists collected water quality data and biological inventories to study the health of this vital local ecosystem.

It’s hands-on, purposeful learning in action! Just one example of how our A-rated, unstoppable schools are preparing students for a bright future.

🕵️‍♀️🔍 It’s National Mystery Series Week! 🔍🕵️‍♂️ The first week of October celebrates all things mystery, and the JBE Media Center joined in the fun! Students became detectives as they solved book-themed mysteries. Our detectives received mystery cases filled with clues to help them solve the mystery of which book their case was about. 📚✨ It was a week full of curiosity, critical thinking, and lots of great guesses!

🎀BREAST CANCER AWARENESS🎀

On Wednesdays, we wear pink during Breast Cancer Awareness Month! 💞

Students, staff, and families—join us in showing support and spreading awareness by wearing pink each Wednesday throughout October. Together, we honor survivors, remember those we’ve lost, and stand with those currently facing breast cancer. Let’s fill our schools with love, hope, and a sea of pink this month. 💗

STRONG ATTENDANCE = STRONG LEARNING 💪🍎

When students are in class every day, they gain the knowledge, skills and confidence to succeed.

Attendance always matters, but October 6-10 is especially important. That's the week the state takes its enrollment snapshot to decide school funding for the year.

✅ Students in class = accurate snapshot = the right funding to support stronger schools in our A-rated District and better opportunities for our kids.

Let's work together to make sure our students are here next week—it makes a difference for everyone.

📚✨ JBE Media Center Celebrates Comic Book & Graphic Novel Month! ✨📚 October is recognized by the Children’s Book Council as Comic Book and Graphic Novel Month—a time to celebrate this exciting and creative medium! 🎨🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️ Our students learned all about onomatopoeias—the fun sound words that bring comic books to life (think BAM!, CRASH!, POW!). Then, they had a blast creating their own! 💥💬 We love seeing our Vikings bring reading, writing, and art together in such a fun and imaginative way. ❤️📖
