Students in Mrs.Engel's class explored Xello in the computer lab this week. Xello K-2,students will develop an understanding of the importance of lifelong learning and successful social interactions, the skills to plan and set appropriate goals, and the tools to explore different options including career paths. #MCSDWINTERSPIRIT #MCSDspirit

📚BOOK BONANZA EXTRAVAGANZA📚 It was a full house of smiles and fun at the Education Foundation of Martin County's first Book Bonanza! Jensen Beach Elementary School students and families had a blast watching their favorite storybook characters come to life and play several literacy-themed activities! Families enjoyed a BBQ feast, enrolled in the New Worlds Reading Initiative, created bookworm bookmarks, played book bingo, and went head-to-head in the “Who Would Win?” challenge, plus more! We are grateful to the EFMC for promoting literacy in such a fun way. Students left this event with books, enrollment to the New Worlds Reading subscription, and great family memories! Our fifth grade students have done AMAZING work creating unique designs for the annual Kids Tag Art program. Tags will be available to purchase online, and more information will be shared soon. All profits go directly to the participating schools' art classrooms. A big THANK YOU goes out to the Martin County Tax Collector, Martin County School District, Martin Arts, and many local businesses for sponsoring this wonderful opportunity to support our JBE art program!

🔢➗✖️VIKINGS CONQUER VARIABLES🔢➗✖️ Jensen Beach Elementary School all-star mathletes spent their Saturday morning competing in the Perennial Math competition! 36 proud Vikings squared off against students from across the country for the virtual competition, and two students placed in the top three spots for their grade levels! This week JBE hosted STEAM (science, technology, art, math) Night! The students had a great time filled with activities, student performances and a bioluminescence art show. Thank you Mrs. Liberty, Mrs. Vojcsik, Mrs.Haines, and Mrs. Borges for all of your planning and time spent to make it a wonderful event for families. 🪴PLANTING SEEDS OF JOY🪴 The Jensen Beach Elementary School Eco-Action Team is planting seeds of joy and making our community bloom with brightness and cheer! JBE students visited several assisted living facilities in the Jensen Beach area as part of Family Volunteer Day. Snacks? Check! 🍪 Succulents? Double-check! 🌵 They greeted residents of Grand Oaks Jensen Beach, Brookdale Jensen Beach, and The Cabana at Jensen Dunes, equipped with goodies and greenery.
