THE BEACH ANNOUNCEMENTS for Friday, December 3, 2021 Auditions for the upcoming Spring Musical Anastasia will be taking place on Wednesday December 8th and Thursday December 9th. If you are interested in auditioning, please sign up on the Drama Club google classroom page or see Mrs. Hance in Room 6-127. Monday December 6th we will be having a Blood Drive. The times are 8:45-2:30 here at the school. You will need a permission slip signed by your parents if you are under 17 years of age. See Mr. Day or any CNA student for permission slips and to sign up. This time all donors will receive a “One Blood” blanket for their donation. Mu Alpha Theta members, for our next service project we are working with the Humane Society and Caring Fields Felines. Please check Google Classroom and Remind for a list of items to donate to these organizations. The due date for Humane Society items is on Wednesday, December 8th and the Caring Fields items are due on December 16th. Please bring all donations to Room 138 . Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, December 8th in Room 138 at 3:10. The Ping Pong Club is hosting a charity tournament in the cafeteria on December 15th after school. They will be raising money for THE POWELL Foundation. Entry fee is $10 per player to be paid before December 10th in Mr. Bros room. It sounds like a blast, so make sure you have that date open on your calendar. SGA is collecting toys for a Holiday Toy Drive to support the House of Hope. To donate, bring your new toy to Mrs. Lavelle’s room by December 9th. ***SPORTS NEWS*** Today the Wrestling team will have their first meet of the year! The “Battle for the Beach” will begin at 11:30 in our Gym. Wrestling will go on till at least 5 Pm so make sure you stop by after school to cheer your wrestlers on to victory. It’s going to be an exciting season for the team. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE FOLLOWING GIRLS WHO COMPETED IN THE GIRLS WEIGHTLIFTING MEET LAST NIGHT. CAROLEENA O’HARA AND SOPHIA GANNASCOLI BOTH WON THEIR WEIGHT CLASSES. RACHEL LOHAN FINISHED 2ND AND BROKE THE JENSEN BEACH HIGH SCHOOL BENCH PRESS RECORD WITH A 170 BENCH PRESS. AMAYA ROBINSON, PATIENCE BRENNAN, GRACE THOMAS AND SERENA WILSON ALL FINISHED 3RD IN THEIR WEIGHT CLASSES.

The Falcon Band will perform their annual Holiday Concert this evening at 7:00pm. This is a give back event for our community. A can of food , an unwrapped toy or a cash donation given at the door will get you in for free. All donations go to Toys for Tots and our local food kitchen. JBHS seniors enrolled in government must take the Florida Civics literacy exam. Students that take Government at JBHS will take this test on Friday Dec 3 at 8:20am. All Students taking government via dual enrollment will test on Monday Dec 6 at 8:20am. 🍎DISTRICT SETS DATES FOR STUDENTS TO RECEIVE REQUIRED FIRST AID, CPR INSTRUCTION🍎 A law passed earlier this year requires Florida school districts to provide 9th and 11th graders with basic training in first aid, including CPR instruction.
