Scholarship Awards night
UPDATE 1:08 p.m. - All students are reporting to fifth period while law enforcement completes the next phase of its response.
This includes accounting for every student on campus and assisting any students who may have gone to nearby shopping centers during the initial law enforcement response with returning to campus. Once all students have been accounted for, instruction will resume and the lockout will be lifted, meaning normal access to and from campus will be restored. Parents who choose to pick up their student may do so once this process is complete; however, there is no requirement to do so, as instruction will continue as planned.
Parents, thank you for being attentive to these updates and for your continued partnership in safety. We are grateful to our students and staff for following our safety protocols as trained, and to our law enforcement partners for their swift, thorough, and protective response.

Martin County School District families,
We wanted to inform you that an anonymous tip was reported to the Stuart Police Department today regarding weapons on the Jensen Beach High School campus.
Law enforcement responded and immediately and thoroughly searched our campus. Based on that thorough investigation, the tip has been determined to be not credible. Please know that our students and staff remain safe. Law enforcement presence continues on campus- for that reason, no one is permitted to come onto or leave the JBHS property at this time.
We thank you for your concern and continued support of our District. We will share additional information as it becomes available.

Students in Ms. Nicholas's journalism class got a firsthand glimpse into the world of photojournalism today! 📷 We had the incredible opportunity to welcome to the classroom Crystal Vander Weit, a professional photojournalist from TCPalm. Ms. Vander Weit shared an inside look at her career, talking about her background, training, and the experiences that have shaped her journey. Students got to see some of her powerful work and hear the stories behind the images, along with what continues to inspire and motivate her every day. The hands-on experience made it even more memorable. She brought several of her cameras and gave students the chance to hold and try them out, while also walking them through key camera settings and how to capture the perfect shot. It was an engaging and eye-opening experience that offered students a real-world glimpse into the art and impact of photojournalism. Thank you, Crystal, for sharing your passion and expertise with us! 🩵🖤

This afternoon, we are shining a spotlight on Jensen Beach High School senior Ciaran Gebus-Mockabee!

"Ciaran will graduate from Jensen Beach High School this spring and will attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University this fall, majoring in Global Conflict Studies," proud dad Paul shared. "From a very young age, he has felt called to a life of service, whether it was wanting to protect sharks in kindergarten or now pursuing his dream of commissioning in the United States Air Force after college. Watching that sense of purpose grow with him has been an incredible journey."

"Outside the classroom, Ciaran loves Formula 1 and the freedom he finds riding his motorcycle," his dad continued. "Most of all, we are deeply grateful for the many teachers and staff at J.D. Parker Elementary School, Stuart Middle School, and JBHS who believed in him, encouraged him, and helped shape the young man he has become. Their support has meant more to our family than words can express."

Congratulations, Ciaran! We are so very proud of you! 🎉🎉
