The girls’ team of Hannah Whetzel, Lizzie Fitzwater, Danielle Bell, Christen Bell, and Grace Pettit, scored a season-high team series of 751 in the win. The boys earned the victory by taking the best of 3 Baker-tie-break, 2 games to none. Both teams will host Lincoln Park Academy on Tuesday at Jensen Beach Lanes. The Varsity Football team beat Stoneman Douglas last night 28-0 on the road to move to 4-0 on the season. QB Austin Connelly threw 3 TD passes, 2 to Mike English and 1 to Jonny Ahearn. Dennis Palmer also had an electric 55-yard TD run. The defense dominated again and had their 4th shutout in a row. Cordell Wilkins had 2 INTs and the front seven put pressure on the opposition all night. The Falcons next play at home on Thursday, Sept. 21 vs. The Benjamin School. The girls’ cross country team won the team title and the boys’ team took second at the Wayne Cross Invitational. J’Hani Styles won the boys’ race! In March, Governor Ron DeSantis signed Senate Bill 1054, requiring high school students to take a financial literacy course to receive a standard high school diploma. With first-year teacher Mr. Terrell Mabins leading the way, our Personal Financial Literacy Teachers collaborate to create an encompassing curriculum to educate and empower our students.
