More than 850 students gathered to learn tips and tricks from professionals in journalism and yearbook production. Senior Chase McNamara and Junior Henry Dieffenbach rolled scores of 236 and 203 respectively to lead the Falcons. The girls’ team suffered their first loss of the season against the Jaguars. The Lady Falcons are now 10-1 on the season. Both teams will face off against Fort Pierce Westwood on Thursday at Jensen Beach Bowl. Over the weekend, the boys' bowling team placed 6th in the 16th annual High School Challenge at the Kegel Training Center on Saturday. The tournament included 12 of the top teams from around the state. Led by Seniors Chase McNamara, Kasey Davis, Vaughn Berhoff, and Geroge Secor, Junior Henry Dieffenbach, and Sophomore Aiden Wintercorn, the Falcons rolled a team total of 2869, making them the top school from the Treasure Coast. The Lady Falcons placed 5th overall rolling a team total of 1913. Juniors Hannah Whetzel and Grace Pettit, along with sophomores Lizzie Fitzwater, Dani Bell, and Chris Bell, and senior Abby Fitzwater combined to be the second-highest scoring team from the Treasure Coast. ACT Practice Test -- sponsored by Class 101 -- a fundraiser benefiting JBHS PTSA - Saturday Sept. 30th at 8am at JBHS JBHS PTSA is excited to announce our annual ACT Practice Test fundraiser which allows high school students the opportunity to take a practice ACT test at a low cost. The practice test will be held on Sat Sept 30th at 8am at JBHS. The event is open to all high school students - you do not need to attend JBHS. The exam will be proctored, timed, and graded by Class 101 of the Treasure Coast. Class 101 will provide free, one-hour consultations to review test results. The ACT that will be given will be an ACT practice test, excluding the essay portion. The cost of the test is $25 or for $30 the student will receive the practice test and a student membership for JBHS PTSA. All proceeds go directly to JBHS PTSA. Both Claire Liu and Anita Wang shot a one over 37 to lead the team. Faith Ayers carded a 41 and Chloe Sebuck finished with a 44 to seal the team win. 🇺🇸CELEBRATE FREEDOM WEEK🇺🇸 The Florida Legislature has designated the last full week in September as "Celebrate Freedom Week." During this special week, the Martin County School District will proudly incorporate meaningful activities and lessons to reinforce the principles our nation was founded on. 🇺🇸📖 Celebrate Freedom Week highlights the significance of the Declaration of Independence. Through our social studies classes, students will participate in an age-appropriate in-depth student of the intent, meaning and importance of the Declaration of Independence. Each morning throughout the week, students will recite the following words of the Declaration of Independence: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.” Families that do not wish to have their child participate in the oral recitation of the Declaration of Independence must provide written notice to their school no later than Friday morning, September 22. #ALLINMartin👊 #CelebrateFreedomWeek2023

The Lady Falcon’s golf team defeated Archbishop McCarthy in a one-hole 5 v 5 team playoff to win the Hawkins / Crutchfield Invitational in Sebring yesterday. Kayla Rigel produced the one stroke needed for the victory. Anita Wang (77), Chloe Sebuck (81), Claire Liu (81), and Faith Ayers (89) provided the 328-stroke team score. All boys who are interested in trying out for Boys Soccer: There will be a mandatory meeting this Friday in room 4-135 at 7:45 a.m. Attendance is mandatory.
