The Beach Announcements: Thursday, January 25, 2024 Peer Forward presents, “FAFSA Help” on Wednesday, January 31 from 6-7 PM in the Media Center. Parents and Seniors are welcome. A Representative from IRSC will be discussing the FAFSA application requirements and process. MCSD is hosting a college and career fair for all Juniors and Seniors on February 8, from 11:30 AM -12:30 PM, and again from 5:30-7:00 PM. It will take place in the School Board room at 1939 SE Federal Highway, Stuart. Please go to the Guidance Department or Student Services to sign up. There are limited spots available on the buses for the 11:30-12:30 time slot. All are welcome at the 5:30-7:00 session. The next SGA general member meeting will be held on Feb. 1st at 7:45 am in the cafeteria. The focus of the meeting will be preparing for the next pep rally. 🔔NEW START TIMES FOR THE 24-25 SCHOOL YEAR🔔 The Martin County School Board approved new school start times for the 2024-2025 School Year during its regular Board Meeting tonight. Florida HB 733, passed in 2023, requires school districts to comply with new middle and high school start times beginning with the 2026-2027 school year. To comply with the legislation, Martin County School District school start and end times have been adjusted for the 2024-2025 school year. Because we are implementing the new times before the mandated year (2026-2027), the District will receive funds from the Florida Department of Education, which a portion of will be used to purchase a school bus tracking system for families. This system will allow verified parents and guardians to see when the bus will arrive at its stop in the mornings and afternoons, and if there are any delays along the route.
