What is meant to be will always find its way - this story will make even the biggest of skeptics a believer!
Jensen Beach High School claimed its first-ever traditional Class 1A State Wrestling Championship this year, an achievement that had been many years in the making for three coaches who share deep roots.
For RJ Costello (Athletic Director), Mike Sawtelle (teacher and coach) and Tom McMath (teacher and coach), the journey began many years ago at their shared alma mater - West Virginia University. P lease join us in Congratulating Mr. Chris Ladue who is our JBHS Adult Volunteer of the year Nominee!
Chris Ladue is the Outstanding Adult Volunteer of the Year nominee for JBHS. Chris started volunteering at JBHS in 2011. Prior to volunteering at JBHS, he and his wife Anne began volunteering at their 3 children’s middle school to assist with middle school band concerts and events. Chris enjoyed volunteering with the band teachers and students so much he decided to continue when each of his children began attending JBHS – his oldest child began attending JBHS in 2011.
The JBHS Marching Band is one of the top marching band programs in the state and with their exceptionally high program level, comes the need for exceptional volunteers – and lots of them. Chris has been one of the consistent, long-term volunteers who has help the band program year in and year out since 2011. The volunteers who work with the JBHS Marching Band help in numerous ways – during band competitions, MPA’s, home football games, as hosts for competitions, during performance at local events and parades and many more. Chris has participated as a parent leader in all of these types of events as each of his 3 children have been a part of the MCHS Marching Band for the full four years of attendance at JBHS.
