Students at J.D. Parker Elementary School took part in their first-ever Town Hall Meeting, hosted by Assistant Principal Greg Botarri! The focus of this special gathering was to explore what it means to embrace a growth mindset.
Students learned the difference between a growth mindset and a fixed mindset, discovering the power of believing in their ability to learn and improve. They even shared their takeaways with one another, proving they’re already putting their learning into action! Way to go, Rockets!

Dear Rocket Families,
After careful consideration, we've decided to postpone this Friday's Rocket Run to a later date. We know this time of year is filled with many activities, and we want to ensure everyone has the opportunity to fully participate and enjoy the event.
We’ll be rescheduling the run to a time when things are a little less hectic, so we can all come together for a fun and memorable experience. Stay tuned for more details coming soon!

Reminder: the Martin County School District is hosting its Transition Fair tomorrow, November 20, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the MCSD Board Room.
Families of students with disabilities in grades K-12 who have an Individualized Education Program (IEP) or Section 504 Plan can expect to learn more about additional education and career opportunities for their children.

This time of year, many of our schools collect baskets filled with items to make Thanksgiving meals and donate them to Elev8hope Compassion in Action. This year, Felix A. Williams Elementary families donated 130 Thanksgiving Baskets!

Just a quick reminder that students are required to wear their lanyard and ID while on campus each day. If a student forgets their lanyard twice, a $5.00 replacement fee will be charged. You can send the $5.00 in cash, or it can be added to your account in Focus. Please note that any outstanding balances at the end of the year may affect participation in end-of-year trips and activities.

Martin County School District students will NOT be required to make up the days missed due to the recent hurricanes.
Fortunately, after a thorough review of the District’s instructional calendar, students will still meet state requirements and complete the academic year without the need to use make-up days at this time.
We are committed to supporting the community with ongoing recovery efforts, including through the Education Foundation of Martin County’s relief fund for employees and families, providing free meals for students, and offering credit for last week’s Extended Day services.
