🌎 CULTIVATING KINDNESS🌎
The Martin County School District is proud to celebrate #WorldKindnessDay, a global event that promotes the importance of being kind and generous to each other and our world.
Many students throughout the District are currently going #ALLINMartin👊, cultivating kindness and giving back to our local community by participating in Elev8hope Compassion in Action's Thanksgiving basket drive, which will provide holiday food items to needy families in our community.

🚀 ROCKETS TAKE FLIGHT🚀
J. D. Parker Elementary School fourth-graders recently worked to construct a rocket while also determining ways to keep spacecraft “passengers” safe. The students used eggs as their passengers - if an egg cracked, it didn’t survive the mission. The students were able to keep two eggs intact for their flights. Way to go, Rockets!

🎃SPOOKTACULAR STEM LESSONS🎃
J. D. Parker School of Math, Science and Technology closed out the month of October by celebrating Stem-o-ween! Related arts teachers put on a fun fall festival which included face painting, games and allowing students to cash in their rocket tickets for prizes and activities.

🤝CELEBRATING FLORIDA CITY GOVERNMENT WEEK🤝

Mayor Eula Clarke, Vice Mayor Merritt Matheson, Fire Rescue Chief Vince Felicione, and Commissioner Troy McDonald enjoyed reading to students at J. D. Parker School of Math, Science and Technology. 🚍SCHOOL BUS SAFETY🚍
The Martin County School District is proud to celebrate #NationalSchoolBusSafetyWeek. School bus transportation plays a critical role in the education of our students - our buses travel more than 1.7 million miles each year!
Help promote safety in our community by exercising caution when sharing the roadways with our school buses. Limit distractions, obey all traffic laws and be mindful of students waiting at bus stops.

🍎LEARNING NEVER STOPS🍎
J. D. Parker School of Math, Science and Technology teachers collaborate on a regular basis to ensure the best outcomes for their students. Last week, fifth-grade teachers worked on breaking down their upcoming learning unit. They started with the assessment and worked their way backwards, which helps them focus on what is critical for students to learn.
"We expect excellence so we plan for excellence!" Principal Rathnaw shared.
