🎓💙 AVID College Exploration Continues! 💛🎓
Our 9th grade AVID Tigers had an exciting opportunity to visit Indian River State College and explore the many incredible programs offered across campus! 🐯✨
Students learned about a wide range of career pathways, including:
📈 Marketing & Business
🩺 Nursing
🦴 Radiology
🦷 Dentistry
🤖 Robotics
🚓 Law Enforcement
🚒 Firefighting
…and so much more!
They even enjoyed some hands‑on, unforgettable experiences—meeting firefighters and sitting inside a fire truck, stepping into the back of an ambulance, and watching a robot dog trot around the room! 🚒🤖🔥

The Pathfinders Awards program is one of the largest and most comprehensive high school scholarship programs in the state of Florida. It is also one of the most equitable and inclusive, opening eligibility to every public and private high school in both Palm Beach and Martin counties.
Each year, 54 of the best and brightest seniors across the two-county region are honored. Students do not self-apply — they are selected and nominated by their schools for their outstanding achievements in academics, leadership, service, the arts, and more.

AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is a college and career readiness program designed to help students develop the skills they need to succeed in rigorous coursework and beyond. AVID supports students who are motivated to challenge themselves and are committed to academic growth.
Through AVID, students:

📚 Receive academic support through tutorials and collaborative learning

Our AVID students had the incredible opportunity to hear from Sergeant Nicholas Hartzler and his team from the United States Marine Corps! 🇺🇸🐯
Sergeant Hartzler shared his personal journey in the Marines, spoke about the many benefits of military service, and highlighted the growth, discipline, and purpose he has found through his experiences.
Students asked thoughtful questions about career opportunities, training, education, and day‑to‑day life in the military—and the team provided inspiring, honest insight into this important career pathway.

Are you interested in joining the AICE Program at Martin County High School next year?
The AICE (Advanced International Certificate of Education) Program, developed by Cambridge Assessment International Education, is an internationally recognized, college-level program that allows students to take rigorous, advanced courses in a variety of subjects. Through AICE, students can:
✨ Earn college credit while still in high school
🎓 Qualify for the AICE Diploma, which can make students eligible for the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship (with required scores and community service hours)
🌍 Develop strong critical thinking, research, and writing skills
📚 Stand out on college and scholarship applications
💼 Gain valuable preparation for college-level coursework
Students planning to participate in AICE must complete this program application: https://bit.ly/4s1w3Ax.
Requirements include:
• 85% or higher attendance
• Strong performance in core classes and on state assessments
• No major disciplinary infractions
Once your application is submitted, be sure to request AICE courses when you meet with your school counselor to build your high school schedule.

This special night is all about welcoming our younger students for an evening of fun, excitement, and a chance to learn what girls lacrosse is all about—while cheering on their older peers under the stadium lights! 🌟
🎉 SPECIAL YOUTH NIGHT PERKS!
✨ FREE entry for all youth (with a paid adult) — must show school ID
✨ Free spirit prizes for the first 30 attendees — arrive early!
