On Sept. 19, 2024, the day after the Air Force 77th Birthday, cadets from MCHS AFJROTC completed the Cadet Fitness Assessment. The CFA consisted of 1 minute push ups, 1 minute sit ups, and running 1 mile.

We will be having a series of college visits next week in the media center in which representatives will outline what they're looking for, what their colleges offer, and how to apply! Hispanic Spirit Week at MCHS is September 23 through September 27!

Congratulations to the choral students Zoey Meixner, Mallory Goddard, and Sierra Favors who have made it onto the second round of the FMEA Chorus All-State exams!! Nina Goyal scored a near perfect score, earning her an immediate spot in the Sight-Reading Chorus. She is one of the top 14 Soprano 2 singers from the entire State of Florida! Zoey, Mallory and Sierra will now go on to the next round on October 11. We are so proud of our singers!

On 9/18/24, the MCHS AFJROTC program along with guests from JBHS AFJROTC, celebrated the 77th Air Force Birthday. The event included history of the Air Force, flag folding and a presentation for guest of honor Mr. William Smithson and his wife, cake cutting ceremony, and sing of the Air Force song.

On Sept. 17, 2024, the MCHS Air Force JROTC presented the color and was pledge leader for the monthly MCSD board meeting. The cadets were recognized for collecting over 60 US flags for retirement and restoring a 70 year, 48-star flag. Right Rifle: Yoel Reyes, US Flag: Caden Kokinda, Fl Flag: Sean McCallister, and Left Rifle: Sal Yonta. Pledge Leader Cadet Major Katelyn Hardy, MCHS AFJROTC FL937 Cadet Corps Commander.
