Middle school students have an exciting opportunity to participate in the 2026 VFW Patriot’s Pen National Essay Contest!
Patriot’s Pen is a national essay competition for middle school students. Each year, students are invited to write about a patriotic theme selected by the VFW Commander-in-Chief. Students from across all 50 states and U.S. territories participate, with scholarship awards available at every level of the competition.

The girls battled hard through all three sets, showing determination, teamwork, and heart from start to finish. While we didn’t take home the win, we are so proud of the way they fought for every point!

Family Engagement Night was a great night filled with food, connections, and games! 💙💛 We loved seeing our families come together and enjoy an evening of fun and connection.

Students also got to choose a book to take home at the end of the night through the Education Foundation’s Book Vending Machine. 📚 What a wonderful way to end the evening!

We're excited to launch the Murray Middle School Entrepreneur Club, where students will work together to create and operate our very own school store!
Students will:
🎨 Design original products
🧢 Create custom hats, keychains, cups, backpacks, and more
🖨️ Learn to use school equipment such as Cricut machines, sublimation printers, heat presses, laser engravers, and embroidery machines
💡 Develop business and marketing skills
💰 Learn about pricing, budgeting, sales, and entrepreneurship
🤝 Work collaboratively as a business team
This club is perfect for students who are:

Odyssey of the Mind is an international creative problem-solving program where students work together to tackle challenges involving engineering, technology, art, performance, storytelling, and teamwork. Constitution Week officially begins on September 17, but Martin County School District students are already getting a head start!
Further highlighting the importance of this annual observance, the Martin County School Board approved the 2026 Constitution Week Proclamation at Tuesday night's meeting, developed with Ms. Rae Scimeca and the Halpatiokee Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
As we recognize the 239th anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution, students across the District will spend the week learning about the document that continues to shape our nation and protect our freedoms.
