Congratulations to Julissa (Julie) Alvarez-Lopez for being selected as Martin County's representative in the 2022-23 "Art in The Capitol" contest.
This statewide visual arts competition is held annually for all 6th-8th grade Florida students, and only one winner is chosen from each of Florida's 67 school districts.
Julie's artwork will be given to Representative John Snyder to be displayed during the 2023 legislative session. Afterwards, the artwork will be on display at The Martin County School Board District Meeting Room.
Pictured with Julie are her proud principal Mr. Umbaugh, and proud Art teacher Ms. Moreno.
