🍎STATE ASSESSMENT RESULTS RELEASED🍎 The Florida Department of Education released state assessment results for the 2023-2024 school year, and the Martin County School District excelled! Our students have demonstrated outstanding achievements across multiple subjects and grade levels, surpassing state averages and setting new benchmarks for excellence. Notable Achievements: 💫MCSD outperformed Palm Beach County in Mathematics, Algebra, Geometry, Science, Civics, and U.S. History. 💫MCSD outperformed St. Lucie Public Schools in English Language Arts, Mathematics, Algebra, Geometry, Science, Civics, and U.S. History. 💫MCSD outperformed Indian River County in Algebra, Civics, and Writing. We are proud to announce that MCSD ranks #1 on the Treasure Coast in both Algebra and Civics, and is performing above the state average in Mathematics, Algebra, Geometry, Writing, Science, and Civics. 🍽NOURISHING ALL STUDENTS FOR SUCCESS🍽 No school? No problem! Our Food & Nutrition Services Department continues to offer free meals to ALL children aged 18 and under during the summer months with no income restrictions. Breakfasts and lunches are now being served at a few locations, but more sites will be available starting June 3. Our Summer Feeding Bus is back on the road this year! ☀️ SOLAR ECLIPSE SAFETY ☀️ Reminder: At approximately 1:48 p.m., Martin County will begin to experience a partial solar eclipse. This happens when the moon passes directly between Earth and the sun, momentarily casting a shadow and blocking the sun's light. Martin County will not experience a "totality" like other parts of the country and can expect to see approximately 51% coverage of the sun.
