🍎LEAVING A LEGACY🍎 On Tuesday night, Superintendent Michael Maine and the Martin County School Board celebrated the career of South Fork High School's Ms. Tera Parsons. Ms. Parsons has served the Martin County School District for 32 amazing years. She is a product of MCSD, as she is an alum of Warfield Elementary School, Indiantown Middle School and South Fork High School. Being a student in the District helped point her to her dream career: teaching in the District she grew up attending. She started her career at the very first school where she began her educational journey, Warfield Elementary. Ms. Parsons put her heart and soul into teaching. "Tera is the epitome of an educational professional and, most importantly, one of the most amazing ESE teachers I’ve worked with in my lifetime," friend and colleague Julie Butler shared. Thank you, Ms. Parsons, for your passion for education and for always pitching in to help out your teammates over the last 32 years! 📚SUMMER LEARNING📚 Educational and fun summer learning happens here in the Martin County School District! During STEM time, 4th-grade (incoming 5th-grade) students at Warfield Elementary School learned how to design their own house by creating blueprints! They had to calculate the area and perimeter of each room! Plus, students in Ms. Burns’ class had a blast learning a new math game! #ALLINMartin👊

The Martin County School District held its oath of office ceremony for Superintendent Michael Maine this afternoon. Superintendent Maine’s family joined school district staff for the occasion, allowing many of the employees in attendance the opportunity to meet and greet while enjoying delicious refreshments provided by our Food & Nutrition Services team. The Martin County School Board named Mr. Maine the Martin County School District’s Superintendent of Schools in April 2023, approving a four-year initial employment contract as part of the measure. #ALLINMartin👊

🍎LEAVING A LEGACY🍎 Last week, Superintendent Michael Maine and the Martin County School Board celebrated the career of Warfield Elementary School's Ms. Kathy Ahern. Ms. Ahern has been an educator with the Martin County School District for 28 years. Ms. Ahern touched the youngest lives in the District, as she spent most of her career either as a Pre-K teacher or Kindergarten teacher. She is known for creating magic in her room and having incredible patience. Ms. Ahern inspired colleagues while working at Warfield Elementary School and Port Salerno Elementary School. "Mrs. Ahern is an outstanding teacher, colleague, mentor and friend. She leaves a legacy of dedication and passion for education behind and she will truly be missed," Warfield Principal Cristina Smith said. Mrs. Ahern, we wish you the best in retirement! 🍎LEAVING A LEGACY🍎 On Tuesday evening, Superintendent Michael Maine and the Martin County School Board celebrated the career of Stuart Middle School's Ms. Mary Noorian. Ms. Noorian has been a Martin County School District educator for 31 years, focusing on computer-related education for most of her career. She started at Warfield Elementary School teaching Computer Lab and transferred to Palm City Elementary School to teach those kiddos how to use the computer. At one point, she helped teachers across the District how to set up and use the Microsoft Office Suite--when email was first introduced! She later worked at Port Salerno Elementary School as a Media Specialist for 14 years, then at Stuart Middle School as a media specialist for the last six years. You name the job or club sponsor; Ms. Noorian has done it! She always went the extra mile to support students, colleagues and parents. Ms. Noorian, we wish you the best in retirement spending time with your grandbabies and puppy. You will be missed! #ALLINMartin👊

🎓TIMELESS TRADITION: WARRIOR EDITION🎓 This morning, South Fork High School graduating seniors took a walk down memory lane and participated in the exciting and emotional tradition of the Graduation Walk at Warfield Elementary School! They looked through their old yearbooks, hugged their former teachers and walked proudly around their old hallways while being cheered on by the next generation.
