📐MATH REVIEW MONDAY📐 NEW COMPETITION! Paper is upping the game for Math Review Monday! The tutoring company is sponsoring a four-week contest, in which the 6th-12th grade student who uses Paper to assist in answering the most questions will win a $25 Amazon gift card! The contest runs from 7/11 through 8/5. So, let's sharpen those math skills this summer and complete this week’s set of Math Review Monday practice problems! The Florida Department of Education released school and district grades for the 2021-2022 school year today. MCSD earned the highest percentage of "A" rated schools on the Treasure Coast and was just three points shy of earning an "A" district grade in the state accountability system. WARFIELD IN THE HOUSE! 📣 Earlier this year, Governor Ron DeSantis signed legislation marking the end of Florida Standards Assessments (FSAs) and ushering in a new era of enhanced progress monitoring throughout Florida. The changes will take effect in the 2022-2023 school year. On Monday, April 4, Warfield Elementary School held a pep rally for students as they prepared to take their final FSAs. 🍎PUMPED UP FOR SUCCESS🍎 On Monday, Warfield Elementary School held a campus-wide celebration for students as they prepared to take the Florida Standards Assessments (FSAs) for the last time. Last month, Governor Ron DeSantis signed legislation that will make Florida the first state in the nation to fully transition to progress monitoring. The change takes effect next school year. 🍎INSTRUCTIONAL UPDATE FOR FAMILIES🍎 In March, Governor Ron DeSantis signed Senate Bill 1048 into law, effectively eliminating Florida Standards Assessments (FSAs) and replacing them with progress monitoring. This school year will be the last year that students take FSAs - next year, Florida will fully implement progress monitoring-based school accountability. Our Division of Instructional Services has created a video explaining what parents need to know about this new legislation and the status of assessments: https://youtu.be/hjIM1Xcns6c. Many of our students will participate in FSAs this week. We ask families to continue prioritizing attendance and punctuality while also encouraging their children to take pride in demonstrating what they have learned this year.
