The Process

Student Community Service Hours on Transcript

  1. Review list of agencies/programs and select a place to volunteer.

  2. Sign up for REMIND account to get text alerts of short term opportunities. 

  3. If an agency/program is not listed, please contact your Guidance Department to get approval BEFORE doing the service.

  4. Perform community service hours.

  5. Explain service hour approval procedure to supervisor. Note: Hours reported for student community service must match the number of community service hours actually completed. Organizations must not award additional hours for service than were completed.

  6. Log into FOCUS with your Student ID. From the Forms menu, select Community Service Hours Tracker. Complete the form to submit your hours.

  7. Allow some time for processing and then you can check FOCUS for your service hours. Please contact your Guidance Counselor if you do not see them.
